And it's not like the technology for a smell sharing and recording technology never existed. There was a very highly developed product in the '90s that did this but the problem is that they just had absolutely zero good use case ideas. The best idea they thought of was going to a car website and having the smell of a car air freshener hit you. Very 1990s ideas. But they could totally put that in a VR headset now. Of course, for videos like this, I would mute the smell. Lol

Used to work at an animal shelter, and this is basically what any blanket left with a large litter of puppies for a day or two without their mom to clean up after them would look like. I can only imagine this carpet had an extended run-in with some animals that weren't house-trained. You've got my respect for dealing with that smell, and the results look great.

How is it possible one relatively small piece of carpet can hold so much dirt. Your septic system must fill up with sand and other material from the rugs after a while. It's wonderful to see a valuable carpet come back to life and all the colors pop. These kinds of videos are quite soothing and there is always a positive result.

I tried it when it first came out several years ago as a stain fighter and it didn't work on the stain I was using it on, so I never used it again. I'm a former home health aide, so I would go into people's homes to render care. Older people frequently struggle with their medical conditions and untreated mental health issues. I once had a patient who was a prolific hoarder. Sweetest guy, but his unit reeked of dog and garbage. Hoarding is a result of multiple factors, and is considered a medical condition. Judging someone for that is like judging someone for any other medical condition. What I saw from older patients was a determination not to acknowledge their mental health because it was considered weakness. So depression, anxiety, OCD, etc were ignored and subsequently so were their symptoms. Add to that COPD, cancer, dementia, etc, and very quickly you end up with situations like this. A lot of times the only reason things changed was because a family member or other caregiver got involved. I imagine a lot of these rug cleaning videos have a family member looking to clean the rugs.

Well done! Beautiful rug. Is there a method of testing the levels of bacteria in the rug before and after?

I don’t know what I expected but I did not expect to see Dirt Reynolds immediately reveal the rug pattern. What a lovely design.
