The smart way to improve your English | Learn Collocations
⭐️Improve your English pronunciation and expression by imitating a native English speaker - www.mmmenglish.com/imitation
Have you heard of collocations? When two or more words go together naturally in English - words that often appear together in sentences.
Learning COLLOCATIONS (rather than individual words) helps you to sound more fluent and natural when you use English!
In this lesson, I'll go through 20 collocations with the verb MAKE (words that often appear in sentences with the verb make!)

Thanks, Emma, your classes and the way you teach are amazing!!!
Thank you so much for the video, Emma. They are so good and didactic. As a portuguese native language, to me the most difficult is the use of "to make" vs "to do". I'd really appreciate if you could share a lesson with this content.
Hi Emma I'm really blessed with your description of collocation meaning! Indeed you're a great teacher may GOD bless you and give you more wisdom to impact the lives of others.
I live in Australia and your videos help me improve my English, God bless you 😘 Eres maravillosa Emma

Hi Emma, thanks for new comprehensive lesson and your efforts to highlight common mistakes. It's really helpful to build concept :)
In my experience of learning English,I find collocations are the most important for the reason we have to know the correct combination of a noun and a preposition. Even if we learn the definition of every single preposition,we can’t easily handle the making of correct combinations. The reason is that every single preposition has an individual quality that can’t be easily handled with logic. I’ve been struggling with making flawless collocations. But,I feel collocations are fun.
Most beautiful English teacher ever.
Collocations with 'MAKE ' Dear Emma ! The lesson of yours was pretty good for one & all .I enjoyed it this Lord's day . Cheerio !
Thank you so much, Emma, my beautiful teacher. Your lession is helpful for me to write an essay.

a tough subject, aiming at upper intermediate learners. Smart choice to include it here, it clarifies things and prevents us from a lot of mistakes. Thanks Emma. I guess the next subject will be something like reporter speech or tenses.
I wasn't really aware that MAKE verb is so widely used as in your examples in this lesson. I guess that is due to that we learnt the meaning of MAKE as 'Produce' from young in my own country so it wasn't natural for us to combine the MAKE with those nouns. Thank you for introducing the importance of Collocations in our english speaking. I really want to learn and practice the sentences with collocations so that my written or speaking english look& sound more natural. ♥

you'so clear Emma!! What a beautiful and interesting experience! thank you so much!
I accidentally came across this video, and I have to say it's great. I have a suggestion though, to learn collocations and vocabulary in general in an easier and faster way, instead of focusing on a verb I'd recommend choosing a theme or topic. There's more retention when lexical items are within a meaningful topic instead of grammar related items.

Really you are smart to spot what the English learners need to improve the spoken language and sounds native. I believe if I could use the phrasal verbs: get, take and go further more collocation with make, and some adverbs/ adjectives, I can kick off talking in English
I love your accent! I don't use to understand british english yet, but you have a beautiful pronunciation, very clean in other words xD
