tbh most deadbolts usually only go in to the frame about an inch with just the striker plate giving any real protection and that only has 2 short bolts holding it and on the door side its only a thin bit of wood holding it with the same micro bolts, not to mention the door frame only has a few tiny nails holding it together and is thin wood, unless you fortify it security is only in your head, a deadbolt is not that much security usually, it may deter someone but if they want in their always gonna go for the window so it doesn't matter

@@Salzmann_69 In that configuration, what you said is true, but you can shore up the security a bit more with a thick security strike plate, 3 1/2" security screws into the stud, and a door guard plate that wraps around the handleset. It's still going to fail eventually from kicking, but thieves will pass on the 10 minutes of sweating trying to kick it in and move on to easier kickings. Kick-ins are the most common break-ins anyway.

and to anyone who comments 'but the battery' batteries are not exactly known for being particularly durable, in fact there are warnings on the back of most batery packaging to not 'crush or perice' the batery cause you might release the caustic chemicals inside....this implies doing so is rather easy

Exactly a properly fitted lock assembly with the proper strike plate hardware should allow for the deadbolt on the normal handle of the door to be retracted when the door is locked and closed. Since there is no bolt I would assume that this is susceptible to the traveler hook attack. Or if not then it’s definitely susceptible to a hard shove because yea that’s some thin metal Edit: traveler hook only works on outward opening doors. The door would have to be forced in leaving clear sign of breaking in. But depending on what deadbolt you are using it’s probably easier just to pick the lock

The latch is hollow for the battery, and that makes it weak, it can collapse if door is kicked.

you're thinking of the other Level lock, that comes with a new key and all. this is just the deadbolt part, you keep whatever lock and key you are currently using, so depending on what is currently installed, you may already have security pins.

it makes your current door lock into a smart lock. It's just the deadbolt part, you keep using your current key and lock so you don't have to get new keys cut for everyone in your household. you can unlock your door with your smartphone or set an automation for it to unlock when you get home, or to lock when you leave home. Yes, you can still use your old key to un/lock it as well.

Apple sells this for about $350

Apple currently sells the Level Lock Touch Plus. The one that works with HomeKeys. I have that one too. The one in the video, is called the Level Lock Bolt which is avaiable on Amazon for about $162. The bolt is the one where you bring your own deadbolt lock and make it smart.

Super resistant to my foot kicking the door.

It looks week as hell. Don't buy this lock if you like your stuff!
