Hey, everyone. If you're wondering why I left out a certain game, here's why. There are simply too many games for me to cover in one video, so I went with the ones that I thought looked the most fun. Perhaps I can talk about the others (BlazBlue, Dissidia, etc.) some other time in a Part 2?

@@tonyoik1012 I wanted to be a bit cheeky with the title, so that's why the pun is there. Plus, I do one video a week, so if I covered every single PSP fighting game, the video would simply be too long

no joke, i was literally in the process of making a video talking about psp fighting games. it was more of a retrospective on the device and its fighting game library and my love for it, glad someone else finally appreciates it lmao

I always find it preposterous that people blamed the PSP collection of Darkstalkers for the later PS3/360 collection selling poorly. As though the entire Darkstalkers fanbase owned PSPs. If the fans are actually there, they'd buy it.

Really? I was super young when Resurrection came out so I don't know first hand what was going on with the FGC at the time, but I agree, that claim about the PSP version being the catalyst for Resurrection's low sales makes no sense

Ah, the PSP... is how I started writing the comment before I pressed play and it's literally what you opened up with. I have a surprising amount of fondness for the PSP but my views on it and it's fighters are a mixed one... all 3 that I had played... and one being through a compilation. 1:59 - Okay, intriguing; I had thought this game was just a compilation of the previous Dark Stalkers games. I thought there was only two Dark Stalkers games... I assume the others are like Super versions of 1 and 2, which is five games are shown here. 2:59 - Glad you could get a friend to help you out with this. 5:08 - Holy heck; that game mode screen is chock-a-block full! Capcom really threw everything they could into this version. 8:29 - An this is one of the few fighting games I own for the PSP. I remember it playing well but not having much to do in it. The story mode of the game is hilarious but it also is just one giant tutorial. The character creator was fun to play around with as per usual and from the comfort of anywhere I want. 9:51 - The story mode was indeed hilarious and the game did introduce Dampiere who was a ton of fun. I would have really liked a traditional Arcade mode with endings though or something like the World Tour mentioned in the Street Fighter Alpha Max portion.

I had DOA, ikkitousen, samurai shodown collection, Kof orochi saga collection.

shouts out to darkstalkers chaos tower intro, that shit is tight - anyone reading this should look it up if ya ain't seen it

Literally just bought a physical copy darkstalker for psp, it’s the only version we got in the states that has all the characters in one game. I know it doesn’t play like vampire savior but I don’t plan on playing competitively just for fun, really wish Donavan was in vampire savior though, his design is just so cool.

I've been watching a lot of your videos over the past couple of weeks. Overall they're pretty well made. One of the only real pieces of advice I could give would be to upgrade your mic as soon as possible. Your voice comes in rather low and in poor quality in comparison to the rest of the audio in your videos. Keep up the good work!

I actually upgraded my microphone a while back! Cost me $200 haha! I think the problem is that for this video, I tried some new audio settings with my editing software that could have messed things up a little. My editing software is horrible with audio at times, so something will sound great to me, but when I render/upload a video, it sounds bad, and I haven't figured out how to fix it yet. Thank you for watching my videos, I appreciate it 🙏🏻

"forced to use the dpad". nobody who has ever played a fighting game in their life is using the PSP dpad or VITA analog to play a fighting game.

On the one hand yes that is a bizarre criticism, nobody plays fighting games with thumbsticks, but on the other hand the OG PSP-1000 series had a dpad that couldn't consistently read diagonals so you had to sometimes.
