There are serious quality control issues with this razor. The head bottoms out against the top of the handle before the head fully clamps the blade. As a result, no matter how tight you twist the locking knob, the blade shifts in the head. This can be remedied by filing 1-2 mm off the top of the handle/base plate, then it works fine. Also, the magnet protrudes slightly above the floor of the base plate further interfering with the clamping action. All of this is easily fixable by Pearl. If they do that, they will have a great mild razor.

@@Double-Y I would hope so. The concept is excellent as is the price point. Pearl is also a good manufacturer. I can't understand how they could have messed up like this. How does something like this even get out the door?

a snapped blade may work better as the bent ends may dig in and provide grip and some spring tension to the blade .....maybe

Definitely it needs design improvement to hold the blades while locking the blades. The knurling must be horizontal also it must be included at bottom for tightening the blades

The knurling is fine. The quality control is not.

Every other single edge razor has a barrier to stop the blade from moving backwards. God knows how Pearl thought that it would be a good idea to rely on only pressure.

You should probably use a blade you know well when trying a new razor 🙂 Using the blade that comes with a razor adds a massive variable. "Bite without the efficiency"...sounds like a fail from pearl. Could you use it again truth a sharper blade with which you are familiar?

I was very disappointed with mine when I got it. Beyond mild and not efficient - I had to finish the shave with another razor. I'll probably end up returning it.

Yes. Loading a blade in general was also not a great experience, even with the magnet. My Parker solo Edge and Leaf Thorn are miles ahead of this. For the record, I love Pearl and own many other razors from them, but this one just doesn’t do it for me.

@@Zaros1337 File the top 1-2mm off the handle/base plate around the area where the post goes into the handle. This solves everything.

Am I stupid or something cause mine blade is perfectly aligned on all the time 😂 I even rinse and checkout the blade mid shave and I have no clue what you're talking about. I wish this is not some QC issue as with Fatips (one good - one bad). Nice vid as always YY

Usei esse sabão e o outro de café à uns anos e arrisco-me a dizer que foi a pior coisa que me passou pela cara desde que comecei o wetshave, e olha que já vão uns anos. A embalagem parecia mais pequena um bocado, pode entretanto ter alterado a formula. Estranho mal teres conseguido notar os aromas desse sabão, normalmente consegues decifrar tão bem! Abraço!

Não achei mau, foi razoável e o pós também, talvez tenham mudado, fez me lembrar os do Nemo Shaving, mas mais rijo e não tão facil de espumar. Obrigado por ver o vídeo e bons barbeados para si 👍🏾💚💜✌🏾

Igual não parecido, Bruno. O Sunbliss não era tão rijo como este, e o cheiro era melhor mas não era intenso, este era mais rijo e o cheiro era um pouco leve e mais relaxado.

@@Double-Y também me.lembro de ser muito rijo. Mas era um sabão com uma espuma super seca e fraca. O de café também, além do cheiro de café não o melhor. A minha esposa até dizia que cheirava a café estragado.

O de café não experimentei, não sei como é. Já falei com outros sobre os que experimentei e quase todos foram da mesma opinião que eu, só variou no cheiro, alguns acham muito fraco outros não, mas o cheiro é muito subjectivo...

Yesterday I received a pearl-sleek razor and now i used it. It is the most hopeless and worst razor in the entire pearl family to say to you. The blade was not cut one day grouth beard also. The alignment is also not good. My huge amount was wasted to invest to purchase this worst razor.

This is a worse version of the Parker Solo Edge. None of these manufactures are matching the Leaf in my opinion.
