The SL3 Bus Route is Now in Service!
Another day... another #loopybus
It was early in the morning that I found myself in Thamesmead to experience the full journey on the brand-new Superloop route that is the SL3 from Thamesmead Town Centre to North Bromley Station. On this very cheerful and celebratory day in Southeast London, I was joined by @Denzelsworld, @GTransit, @JasonMaguireTFL, @BusesInPlumstead, @SouthLondonTransit, @DISCOPlayz and many other bus enthusiasts. No press turned up for this enthusiast-dominated event, but it was still fantastic.

Me and a bus friend of mine went to the first day as well! our bus for the day was LT135
Excellent videography!
I actually think that having a Superloop is a great idea especially for people who want to travel between tube station and railway station in and around Greater London.
Can't wait for the last few Superloop routes!

I think they got rid of the oyster pads at the middle and rear door during covid because of the one way system

3:36 there was an oyster pad but it got removed in 2020 to reduce fair evasion.
Nice to meet you on SL3 and to experience something like SL7 and hope to see you again for the second time on SL2

Can't wait for the Silvertown Tunnel on last superloop X239 to SL4, I also agree that TfL should be able to get a first route '239' because it is the smallest uninteresting 200 range to express the idea of a variety of 'X239' serving Silvertown tunnel. 239 may have Upper Norwood - Lee Green via Beulah Hill, Church Road, Westow Street, Westow Hill, Crystal Palace Parade, Westwood Hill, Newlands Park, Lennard Road, Kings Hall Road, Bridge Road, Copers Cope Road, Southend Road, Beckenham Hill Road, Bromley Road, Bellingham Road, Hazelbank Road, Verdant Lane, South Circular Road and Burnt Ash Hill - New Bus stand Micheldever Road.
The oyster pads have been removed on the LTs ages ago. You now need to enter the bus at the front

@@TITTLDN2023 Yes because people were not paying. They used to have conductors in 2012 but they got removed bc tfl didn't want to pay for their jobs

3:37 They removed the oyster pads on the other doors years ago to stop people from sneaking on the bus without paying
Hey riku. Nice video. The reason the middle and rear doors don't have oyster readers anymore is because they were removed in 2020 because of fare evading.

Fun fact: The routemaster is not new being put in service in 2012 and will get withdrawn and is Hybrid so not new as the New ones are Electric and just got refurbished. Thats all :)
X269 is the SL3. It parallels routes 269.
3:34 TfL removed these oyster pads due to people checking if the driver isn’t looking then quickly running upstairs (avoiding paying £1.50)
Saw you guys earlier didn't realise until now you were all vloggers (you were on my bus and told me top deck was rammed)
Goes without saying. A great video. Traffic was a big broken onnthe route during the day.

Lovely video It's a shame that they took away the Oyster cards from the back and middle of the bus
still problems with the frequency unfortunately, and the times are still behind schedule, but I really enjoy being in the new routemasters and less stops just makes the overall journey more pleasant than what I usually take for this route. An easy winner once these issues get ironed out
Where did you get your tripod from by the way?
its not brand new its cascaded from route 9 that RATP lost to metroline and also route 8
