Hey Soundkiller, I think we've all fallen into the trap of trying to climb the algorithm, at the end of the day it's the content that really matters and we can all see your tutorials are really in-depth, they're proper sound design tutos - so anyway, don't let the numbers discourage you, keep up the good work!

1000% agree (I am part of the problem). In all seriousness yeah I see so many videos that are like "look how Skrillex did this" then it sounds nothing like what Skrill did.

Can you do a Sharks style tutorial? It would be interesting to see your take on creating things like the Color Gun and other one-shots from his sample pack.

Of course, there are so many Skrillex growl tutorials but none of them sound like skrillex. Even Skrillex cannot recreate his old skrillex sounds because his laptop got stolen in 2011 and he doesn't remember how he did it. Sure, watching "Skrillex" tutorials does help a little bit, but to be honest start messing around with synths to get your own sounds.

it’s sad to say cause they seem to be capable to do so much more, Letsynthesize is a great example of that, good non clickbait content!

XLNTSOUND Sample packs are dope, some are out of this world and come in handy (even Skrillex used a fill from one of their 3 cartel packs on his new album)... But their obsession with adding Skrillex's name and trying to rip off his basses are just absurd. And most of the recreation isnt even as accurate.

i think theyre just huge skrillex fans. should they not be allowed to do what they do?

xlnt did nothing wrong. theyre just skrill heads that like to produce. you're saying they shouldn't be allowed to do what they're doing? you're saying youtube should prevent them from making youtube videos about skrillex sounds? and you're saying for us not to look up how to make the sounds we like?

Making tutorials isnt wrong, i do them my self, what they did wrong was releasing packs using the skrillex brand without licensing and earning revenue from skrillex name, thats the biggest issue with them And with tutorials what mostly bothers me is when thats the only topic they talk about, sure im a skrillex fan too but i wont be making 50 skrillex growl tutorials because those are mostly just for views

@@WforWrath Wouldn't call them quality products, sure they are GOOD products, but i wouldn't call them quality, i've found other brands to make better content and out there, but if someone wants to buy skrillex inspired stuff, then by all means

As much as i agree with you about them very much profiting off of his name, they often get really good results and put together really good skrillex inspired packs and they know and are good friends with people like Virtual Riot and Eliminate. If they didn't know what they were doing, they wouldn't get the views. And I don't say this next part to be rude, but rather as a genuine criticism of your videos. That is why you do not get similar views, and there seems like some kind of jealousy about it, due to that fact, on your part. Your Supersonic remake is subpar and very dull and thin, while theirs, even though it wasn't fully accurate, had everything where it needed to be. So do they milk it? Absolutely. But they don't clickbait. It isn't "poor quality". They are able to back up their consistent talk about skrillex because they can actually end up producing worthwhile results when it comes to remakes, and to the average beginner producer, that's a gold mine. Especially when they upload as consistently as they do, rather than someone like you, who uploads maybe only twice a month. It has nothing to do with Skrillex and everything to do with the quality of the result. Look at Sam Smyers. Or SynthHacker. He has made 1 video about skrillex ever, yet has more subscribers than both of you guys put together and almost doubled, and it's because he makes EXTREMELY high quality videos and results. That's why this video didn't even break 1k after 6 months, even though it had skrillex in the title.

I agree with you on some parts and yes there might be a certain frustration or jealousy. While i do agree they make some good tutorials, I don’t think it is a good suite for beginners, as they only focus on one super niche topic, and don’t truly go to detail or explain it for a beginner to understand, rather a do this to get that. Which isn’t bad but doesn’t helpout a beginner that barely knows how a filter works to put an example. On the other hand i fully disagree still with your packs argument. I got to play and still have downloaded they’re skrilla pack they released a few years ago (which got taken down by a lawsuit against copyright) and a lot of the serum presets just had bass samples from the original track with little modulation, and sound design. That is not high quality presets by any means, and it may had sounded accurate (because it was the literal skrillex bass). They may be a fun channel to watch from time to time, again I don’t have beef with XLNT, but once they switch up and do a non skrillex video, their views go way down, all i asked for them was to switch the content type
