For a song, though Gaga was nominated for an acting Oscar, and M wasn't (snobbery from the Academy... she should have at least gotten a nomination for Evita). Madonna never had a song that she wrote that was a contender for the Oscars. Masterpiece (GG winner, sorry, Elton) could have been but it was used in the credits and didn't qualify. I think he's trash. Okay, so he made scale on a video and didn't earn the going rate for some of his work... but... he made a fortune, pulled in drugs and sex when... let's face it... he's no looker and never could have had his level of fame and success without her. He was 'paid' in other ways and should frankly be grateful for her, even if she's a tough person at times. I can understand that he may even be bitter about it, but you also have to think how it affects your reputation to write a hatchet job book like this, and how it will affect the relationships within the whole family. He's a prick. She lifted him up for years (even if it was a bumpy ride), and then he stabs her in the back. I will agree with him on one thing though... Guy Richie is a horse's ass.

Who cares? Madonna has been more successful, influential and is more creative than Gaga. Sorry. Gaga is a talented singer and maybe she's a good actress... I don't know, I've never watched her in anything. But her music career has been a literal note for note copy of Madonna and other artists, and then she pretentiously claims she's 100% original. Only her young fans with no knowledge of music history believe that. I genuinely have nothing against her, and say to her fans, enjoy her and have fun, but stop trying to prop up your icon by tearing down ours. There's actually room for both of them, and no one can deny Madonna's power, influence and dominance in pop music. Show respect for the woman who created a lane for all the other woman to follow her. She broke a glass ceiling for woman in music, and championed queer rights WELL before Gaga 'expressed herself' that she was 'born this way'.
