god, i would die the most content man in the world if i had an awesome voice like he has. some things were just meant to be. whenever i hear him sing, i think of a happy and content frankenstein who has married his graveyard sweetheart. u will always be in my hear, Andrew.

Nah, he's got an excellent point. I love both bands equally for different reasons, but Wayne's voice is more suited to tracks like this. The Sisters have done some great tracks and some of my favourite albums, but this isn't one of their home runs.

All the B-sides from that period are equally interesting. Afterhours is my favourite.-

Whereas I do love The Mission's version, I have to disagree with you on that one... I love the darker feeling surrounding this version of the song, but I also love the feeling of being alone/Helplessness of The Mission's version... I can never decide between the two =/

Whenever I hear this song, images of the movie Nosferatu with Klaus Kinsky keep appearing... LOL. On the subject of who rules: True, no SOM without Andrew. But without Wayne's influences and arpeggio 12 string guitar work TSOM wouldn't be as big as they are. As a singer/songwriter Wayne has gotten way better than he was, and is still performing. And beside that, Wayne and his crew are playing real instruments on stage.= and give a great show.

Agreed, so glad to hear someone else think Wayne's improved with age, not that he was ever bad. Saw them in May 2017, seeing them again in November, three times. They really are that good live.

I believe [don't quote me on this] that it was done sometime in 1984, but like I said, I'm not 100% sure

ok, I listened 2 Wayne Hussey's vocals & 2 me, Andrew beats him as Andrew has a more pleasant bass or darker tone, the way i like it

I've been listening to both versions on repeat all day... I can't decide which is better =/ Overall, however, I like Andrew Eldritch better. I wasn't a big fan of Hussey untill I saw the Severina Whistle Performance Now... Eldritch is Idol #1, Hussey is #2

far as I can think...Wayne was actually sort of overstressed by Eldritch peronality, that's why they split and that's why Husseys try and have such an "overgothic" way of singing...but, there's only one Eldritch on this fu+++ng planet... :-)

I was very disappointed when I saw TSOM in 2009. IMO the 2 guitarists are useless and when I hear a bassguitar, I wanna see one being played. Same goes for synthesizers. Andrew's voice was crap, and so was the whole performance. Nevertheless I'm still a big fan of TSOM, just hope Andrew will get his act together soon.
