Maybe because he set out to make games, and not to be rich. Also, game development is pretty uncertain.

Will still has a small presence in the world of games. He's been a chairman for Linden Lab (Second Life) since 2011. For the most part, he pursues whatever interests him at any given time. He's not strictly a game developer. At the moment, he's working on an augmented reality app called Proxi. It's an artificial intelligence built off of the user's memories and life experiences.

Once humanity developed this knowledge we cannot return back to the past and make everyone forget The Sims. By knowing how The Sims worked as a simulation, humanity developed this common knowledge that WE, as humans, could be living on a simulation. This created a paradox. Basically, Will Wright is a God because he created The Sims, and by creating The Sims, he put into everyone's mind the thought of humans living on an already created simulation. Thus, Will Wright started the Paradox. Will Wright created everything.

Sims 4 won’t run on mobile and he’s not part of it anyways. The last Sims game he did was The Sims 2. tldr; no he can’t

Sorry for the extremely late response, but Will is currently working on an augmented reality app called Proxi. He's also a chairman for Linden Lab, the creators of Second Life. As for traditional game development, he's not currently working on anything.

He ticked so many traits of neurodivergent, endless obsession with things, highly observant, like patterns, using hands and mental image(he looked away from interviewer and making hand signs to himself to keep track of what he was talking). Speak too fast without realizing, going off in tangents often. Oh well, lol. No wonder he made games that almost all neurodivergent people love.
