Hi! Do you know why even if I changed sizes of screen in Graphics Rules there is still only one size in the game to choose? Can anybody help me with that? :) I will be gratefull.

thank you for another helpful video :) I had the resolution and smooth edges options already once I got my game running (following your previous video) The only thing that is greyed out on mine is the Refresh Rate? Not sure if I am missing something, if you know how to unlock this, thank you :)

Thank you. The refresh rate will grey out depending on a couple of requirements. If you have the game in Windowed mod, youcan nott adjust screen refresh. Screen refresh can only be activated if the game is in dedicated full screen mode. Secondly, it depends on your setup and the types of screens you are using. Some setups and screens are not able to be adjusted and are automatically locked into their native settings.

Thank you for these videos, and explaining slowly. I have done all these steps but when I try to save it says I don’t have permission so nothing changes. I didn’t have the option on the graphics rule maker either. Is there anything I can do for this?

As mentioned in PART1 of these tutorials you will require administrator permission on the computer to do some steps. If you are an administrator then follow these steps, 1) Edit graphics rules as already shown, 2) "SAVE AS" the graphic rule folder to your desktop (This will allow you the permission to save the file) 3) Drag or cop and paste the folder from the desktop to the folder in which the graphic rules belong. This should have sorted the issue.

The smooth edges tool smooths out the lines around sims and objects to make them look smoother and less jagged. This isn't so necessary or noticeable with modern screen resolutions, as the more pixels in the screen naturally smooths out lines anyway. This is more intended for lower-resolution screens like back in the day when the game came out. On a low-resolution screen, you can see a big change in the image's edge smoothness.

I buy new SSD🖥️🖱️⌨️🌈🌈🌈🌈due my old harddisk in danger, slim hope to copy all my data in Drive D: all my music, photo, video, video game in emulator in computer especially neighborhood 2 & save file also Library Sims 3 (neighborhood Sims 2 next loop {not current i play}, all that 4 neighborhood put in desktop for 1 reason but is gone due try re-install Windows XP that useless because my CD driver automatic is expired & Windows XP not support internet include Google Chrome, so Grumpy to remake each 5 families sims in Sims 2 in neighborhood 2 & 3 next loop in Sims 2 when my new assembly SSD i already buy, following 5 next loop families Sims 3 that already made using see Library when go in Sims 3 {neighborhood 1 survived in Drive D, put in current i play that later play because i already delete neighborhood 1 current i play after all 5 families sims in neighborhood 1 current i play reach THE END that i not play them anymore {not neighborhood corruption} & replaced with new neighborhood 1 fresh no families sims buy that already made 5 families sims for next loop, that next loop neighborhood 1 put from new neighborhood to current i play in Drive D, that neighborhood 1 in desktop is gone just copy & neighborhood 4 i think is empty, no 1 family sims created for next loop). I not want to begin 0 in Sims 2 & 3 especially begin 0 in new SSD. Take many month or years maybe to create all families sims (current & next loop as schedule), give effort (so when real current play, begin not from 0) & build big house with lot buy things in there & also for some version video games (in emulator in computer) try make very lot or rarely max score, use feature save & load instant (that real machine not have it) that make strategy to make lot score as possible, max if i manage that. That why i watch your KZread 3 parts because looks like ALL people forcing to have sophisticate, modern & advance technology so i decide must use Windows 10 that already modern, advance gadget. Is all neighborhood Sims 2, Library & save file Sims 3 also mod & costum content i have still available when put from my old harddisk to my new assembly SSD?

Ok, brill that it's got it working. Now which method did you follow to change the resolution, part one with the graphic rules maker, or part two doing it manually.

You only need to do the manual resolution step if graphic rules didn't give you the option. DON'T do both steps together.

ok, you may need to do a step I didn't include because it is a very rare step. Go back into you graphic rules folder in your games files. Right near the top, just a few lines down you will see... Seti low 1 Seti medium 2 seti high 3 Change all of these to 3, save the file and load your game and see if its unlocked the resolutions. This setting change forces the game to open the game in high mode in all settings.
