I'm part of the 5% I guess. Beat this one back in the day without too much trouble. Level 4 was a bitch though with some of that jumping, especially on the skeletons and being unable to tell what's a safe place to land and what's not.

I’ve beaten a handful of AVGN’s top ten hardest NES games, granted half I’ve never played. (TMNT(9)CastleVania(8), BattleToads (2)) Could never beat this one. Could never get past dinosaur. Just didn’t know how. My power move was every weekend mom let me rent a game so Friday’s were also McDonald Day so still have vivid memories of Happy Meals which = small new toy and new game to beat. I think I rented it for a month before giving up! Just weekends! Love going down memory lane

I've never beat the game, but I played the first level so many times that I could beat it in my sleep! Barely made it to the 3rd level or so, can't remember, it was many years ago

Im one of those kids...

Proud to say I was one of the few kids that managed to actually beat this nightmare of a game. NGL, could not have done it without the accompanying Nintendo Power issue

This game was made to be sold to young people at the time. Very hard for that age group. I still can't beat it. Very good run man!

I remember having this on the Amiga 500... I found it a lot easier to complete on the NES at the time..... Now I don't stand a chance

I watched a TMR stream that ended in him re-hosting a jay_cee WR run of Castlevania 2. Magic happens all around this guy.

That was awesome, u make it look so effortless, this was one my favourite games but for Sega, I would always die in the mall trying to jump on the lollipops until one day I realized u have to jump when the sticks are horizontal

Welcome to the real world, I think without a guide this game was almost impossible to beat nack in the days.

Good gosh. First time watching this game played. I have no idea what is going on...

To lower the targets of the stage, because if you don't have 0 goals at the end of the stage the game doesn't let you proceed to the boss.

This is one of the worst Simpsons games

I was 8-10 Years old and made it one time to the museum. It was very hard. As a german kid I didn't understand what to do in level 1 (purple items). I just tried to get through the levels. 😁

We all tried that and failed. The game was a bit cryptic and it was hard, specially if you didn't understand the language (english).

Yes, I agree, this is a very hard game to speedrun due to the platforming but it also looks nice, just the last stage isn't the beat for apeedrunning but overall is great.
