So Wrong, it's not as simple as just needed skill but it came with many disadvantages. The Basal is not good in a long run. When your crown need adjustment or need to be fix, you need to change and remove the whole implant as basal is a single piece. The most and biggest disadvantage is no need for bone graft, which mean you would lose your bone volume by time. Your gum will shrink, and showed the implant compare to regular implant that need good bone so there will be no or less soft bone missing that can lead to gum shrinking. The gum shrinking when you don't have the good amount and healthy bone in your gum is the biggest issue in any dental tooth replacement, either Basal or imediate implant and bridge will have this issue since they don't required you to have bone graft before treatment and people fall for this. Only regular implant can provide better gum for a long run because having a good amount of bone is a must for regular impant, unless you still go for bone graft even if you choose for example bridge. So doing bone graft is vital no matter what option you choose.

Some people can't have regular implants and regular implants can get infected if the bone shrinks, the basal doesn't get infected, after a year the gum shrinkage will stop so getting temporary prosthetics for a year is a good idea, also the bone can grow back around the basal implant due to no bacterial growth.

@@OutoftheEchoChamber from my dentist and lots of researched. Asking many people opinion, doesn't really matter which one you choose. Basal, implant or bridge, alway do the bone graft. Never fall for you don't need the bone graft, bridge is simple, cost efficient bla bla bla. Do a panoramic photo, see your bone if you have good healthy bone then it's okay. But most people will need bone graft even if you don't go for regular implant for example if you choose bridge or basal. Basal amd bridge both easy, cost efficient and take short period of time. But very bad for gum because you could lose your bone, only regular implant can hold in a long run. So always and always do bone graft before any option you choose. Ask your dentist, the bone graft will help in a long run to keep your gum in shape if you don't choose the implant.
