Фильм және анимация

In an interview, Aquaman star Jason Momoa talked about how he can relate to the superhero’s unique diversity. As a half-Hawaiian, half-German/Irish/Native American man growing up in Iowa, Momoa said he felt like a fish out of water himself at times, and triumph over doom themes are all tie into a larger celebration of diversity. He was originally a top model in Hawaii who won the title Model of the Year in 1999. He also hopes for the character’s journey to be an inspiration to people who felt like they didn’t fit in where they grew up: “I can really relate, being born in Hawaii and raised in Iowa … [and him] coming from this Atlantis-Hawaii and not really feeling accepted in either place.” Momoa also commented briefly on Aquaman being an inspiration for children from “broken homes” and the distinct challenges kids face under those circumstances. The actor said the film would resonate with children from broken homes, and of different races with him proud of being a 'brown skin superhero.' 'I think there's a lot of kids out there that feel that from broken homes so it's cool to see him deal with that.' In addition, he studied marine biology and wildlife biology in college - so he’s practically born for this role. And his background combined with his magnetic personality make him one of the most anticipated star turns of 2018 when Aquaman finally hits theaters. Aquaman is expected to be a complete origin story for Arthur Curry and Atlantis. As an actor who experienced similar emotional challenges to Arthur Curry growing up, Momoa as Aquaman has a major opportunity to deliver one of the more heartfelt portrayals of Aquaman. 'I can really relate': Aquaman star Jason Momoa admits he loves the 'diverse' nature of the comic book character he is bringing to life.
