The silver is to transparent. LA7W and Glasurit-100 line.

Комедия

I painted here a VW Transporter with a LA7W paint code. The silvers in Glasurit 100 line appear to be to transparent and hawe to make more paint than usually should do.

So wait let me see if I understand you... you paint silver over L00 and it doesn't cover well so you call the color "TOO TRANSPARENT"!!!!!!!! Over L03 OR L04 would have cover immediately!!!!

Understand me right. This is a L02. Also under L04 the problem is the same. Under angel the light grey primer is wisible. Next thing is that the LA7W are many different shades, how you probably know and keept this in mind before trying to point to a mistake. One of the small parts is in L00. The drivers door small spot is in L03. Also the driver door spot was hard to cover. Im doing all these experiments to know the problems and to find out the solutions in different situations so i can warn my workers before they make some mistakes in prep work. Since the 100 line hawe to be painted in 1.5 coats, need to pay attention in extraordinary situations.

@@auto_premium_latvia First of all i'm not a professionell painter. But i asked myself many times, do you get any information out of your software wich shade for the primer you should use for the color you are painting? Or even further, sometimes they paint silver before, ok i know that ist more for candy, but all that is a tiny bit of a secret to me.

@@auto_premium_latvia Hey, I get my colors mixed up from a local bodyshop, they use PPG Aquabase Plus and sometimes Baslac , wich is an BASF brand if I'm right. I already could have been asked at the bodyshop, but they always have a lot of work and no time. They already spent so much time mixing colors for me, I don't want to disturb too much. The last order was Ford platinum white, that took a while to mix up, that is 3 step. I haven't painted that yet, but I know that will be my next nightmare. The color has many variations, so I'm already sure I will not be happy with the result. I don't have all these fancy options like wet bed etc. So for that color I would choose white primer, but the color has a tiny bit of a yellowish tint, not sure

@@jomei36 i see, be shure get atleast 3 coats of the white ower the white primer. I also hawe Baslac at my shop. Didn't work with PPG yet. If you use black and white primer, you can mix the shade you need. Just mix it close as possible to the color you hawe. But yes, in the color software you can see what greyshade you need to use. I also dont use the wet beds for painting. Rare cases are, when some reds need the required uderlayer.
