The Silver Beatles - The One After 909 (Alternate Take)
Музыка
The Original Decca Tapes & Cavern Club Rehearsals
Lyrics:
My baby said she's trav'ling on the one after 909
I said move over honey I'm traveling on that line
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby don't be cold as ice.
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 909.
I begged her not to go and I begged her on my bended knees,
You're only fooling around, you're fooling around with me.
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby don't be cold as ice.
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 909.
I got my bag, run to the station
Railman says you've got the the wrong location
I got my bag, run right home
Then I find I've got the number wrong
Well she said she's trav'ling on the one after 909
I said move over honey I'm traveling on that line
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby don't be cold as ice.
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 9-0,
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 9-0,
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 909.

Ringo gives them an assured, confident swagger that they didn't get with Pete Best. Ringo was one of the best 'dance band' drummers of the time and a lot of people knew it.

Great true Rock and Roll band. OMG John had that rare raw rock and roll voice. Lot of the songs they wrote George Martin or record label didn’t like or made them change to beat. John always wanted to redo most of their songs the way he wanted them to sound.
Who would have thought that this song would be one of the few with Get Back, Don't Let Me Down, Dig A Pony and I've Got A Feeling to be played at their last live performance on the roof of their apple offices.

Yeah, that's why George Martin rejected Ringo's first recording of, "Love Me Do", citing poor timing, an assessment agreed with by Paul McCartney. Paul tried to convince Martin that Ringo would be better next time, but Martin wasn't having it, and hired session pro, Andy White, to fill in for Ringo the next week a the official recording session.

Drumming is completely uninspired
The Difference Between Men and Women | QI 13.3.24 Germany must have been the inspiration for most of the beatles' oeuvre, then????? and the beatles as leather boys reminds me of the film the Loveless..... so how much of their work had been scribed and scrawled prior to rotten fame setting in? thinks: .....the band splitting prior to worldly success and, to prove it was as miserable an innings as it had been - interspersed with the odd joyous law and order scuffle - they contractually had the poor kids run through it all again - in the happy chappy west...so spoilt rats could verify the facts of the matter. obviously, so those spoilt rats could tell 'em all (ie: the band) where they went wrong and how it really was for them - how they should feel, what lies to adhere to, who was who what was what. as stated, the sex pistols pissing about was probably as near to proto beatles mania as it got.
