Something i learned as I'm getting older is at that age (teens, early 20s) people want so bad to find an identity, and define themselves in some way. I want many of you who are just coming into adulthood to remember that your identity now will not be the identity in 10 years, and 10 years after that. This is to say, both the person and the people around that person often find themselves identifying to a persona, a phase, a lifestyle, and they decide that's who they are, and that's not the case. We as humans are everchanging, and nobody should ever have expectations of not changing. That is growing up, going through different motions of life. As one comment here said, this kid should've stayed home, make music and stream videogames. But for his perceived identity, he couldn't. But the reality around him, and often fame, is money comes in, the reality begins to change, and there must be an open mind to change identities, start playing a different game and behaving in a different way. All this to say, don't trap yourself in your identity when you're still figuring out how to navigate through the world. Allow changes, allow pivots, allow shifting of mindsets. Then you can come into identity more and more and more as time passes. Shit, my 45 year old brother just told me he's shifting careers. I'm really beginning to believe no one ever truly figures out 100% who they are. But you can figure out enough to create stability, prosperity and betterment for yourself and everyone around you if you allow for growth.

No man, we solved this in 90s when everyone realized that gang music just leads to people being shot and hey, turns out it's actually really bad and dumb when teenagers kill each other for stupid made up reasons. I'm 41 and I've always tried to avoid being one of those guys who trash talks the younger generations for dumb things. But not this. This is stupid and every single artist and fan is responsible. This problem was solved, and then everyone was like "hey, let's do that stupid stuff rappers did 30 years ago that they all agreed was stupid. And seriously, people like you, internet people from the suburbs who treat this culture like it is more than just idiocy don't do anything to help. You're gawkers and profiteers, looking at poor kids killing each other and telling everyone to pay attention, so this stupidity just continues.

The problem with Drill Music is it's one dimensional, they talk about beef they have with a few gangs and killing a couple dudes and that's about it, that's why they just repeat Tooka's name over and over again (RIP). King Von escaped the streets and still made the same poor choices cause he had no identity outside of that life. They kill each other before they are even old enough to discover other things that life has to offer unfortunately.

im from the Tampa Bay Area. the area he got killed at was the Holiday Inn on Fowler Ave near McKinley drive across the street from USF. That area is notorious for being the hood, clearly Foolio and his mfs didnt realize where they were at cuz hood mfs got way more reach out there. And also bring to the table to watch out where u going. You gotta make sure u also not going to another hood where others mfs might have connections to ur opps. And Tampa and JAX are pretty connected. As a matter of fact all of FL is. Mfs from Tally might be cool wit mfs frok Orlando in the same way that mfs from Tampa could have beef wit someone from JAX.

@@wolfgang6442 I don't disagree, Keef is probably the best example of someone who figured out how to move forward once they got their bag secured. The issue is that labels and even worse the fans don't want to see them get better and move forward. The labels see it as losing money and the fans see it as selling out. Only in rap music can accepting a better life be seen as a negative.

But a number of rappers are still gang members and they feel an obligation to be in proximity with their friends and homies to have credibility with their fans, though in general it’s not a good idea and can lead to a bad situation many simply can’t just walk away from the street and be happy…the lure is too great.

Mckinley Ave and Fowler is across the street from Embassy Suites and USF campus. It's not a "bad area". About two miles down, on Busch Blvd, that's a different story.

@@cecilkeith1951 “suitcase city” is definitely not a good area, you can go up the street and the hood right there💯that USF area is moderate NOT GOOD! A good area is Davis Island , Westshore , or just go cross the bridge! He just thought he was invincible

I think the biggest issue here are the fans. Yall make these dudes famous between streams, covering them, and following them on social media. These dudes dont deserve an ounce of attention. I first heard about this dude when he did the "when i see you" video. I knew i wanted no parts after that.
