I heard it a couple of days ago for the first time and thought it was alright. Been hearing it here and there since. Heard it again today, and I was actually humming and vibing to it. I don't know why, but this is a song that the more I heard, the more I liked. A fantastic job, I must say! ^_^

One of these days, an anime company is going to reach out to Brandon and ask him to make a opening theme for the anime. It’s going to happen considering the people who made Skeleton Knight in Another World had a KZreadr make their intro. I will be counting down the days till that happens.

Didn't expect an original track so early in the year. Not complaining tho, original tracks are always something cool. Didn't exactly know what to expect from this as it was quite visible even just from the thumbnail that it'd be pretty different to Lightbringer stuff and it seems I was correct: it's notably less heavy and somewhat more uplifted (altho that's relatively speaking, the lyrics here aren't exactly uplifting either). Doesn't remove from the track at all, just makes it stand out on its own. Original tracks are always funky to review because it's either just saying "yep, that's really cool" or just coming up with possible interpretations and given that at the time of writing this I'm suffering from insomnia I'm not exactly in the mindset for deep thinking so the latter's out the window and the former is kinda boring to do. But still, I do want to mention my appreciation for the track for sure because it definitely sounds really nice. Similar to most of Brandon's original work it has a nice combination of softer and heavier moments that give it a very dynamic flow that at no moment feels boring or stagnant: there's always something new and interesting happening but it doesn't feel cluttered either. It manages to find the middle ground really nicely and stay there for the whole entire song. Like I said before this track does differentiate itself from Lightbringer in that the aforementioned mostly focused on the heavier parts with backing softer parts while here it's the opposite: mostly softer lyrics punctuated by heavier ones when needed which again I find interesting as it gives a new and interesting take on Brandon's original songs that isn't too often heard (at least for the original tracks of his that I've listened to, I admit I have only heard a small part of them) while also showing his proficiency in making different songs while still sticking to his roots. Because this song most definitely *feels* like a Brandon Yates track (again, from the small portion of his tracks that I've listened to) but still unique. Also, I do need to mention a small fun coincidence in that this song has a funny similarity with Marvel For All in how it sounds generally. Of course this is discounting the lyrics' meanings given this one's aren't exactly hopeful or heroic (at least from what little interpretation my tired mind can muster up from reading them) but their general melodies, tones and general atmosphere are somewhat similar (hell, Marvel For All's 2:11 segment VS this track's 1:27 are almost the same). It's pretty much a coincidence (even if both songs were written at a similar timeframe) but it's a funny one that I wanted to note. Doesn't take away from either song of course, just something I felt like noting. A bonus detail in a really good song; Overall this track most definitely is a good start for original tracks for the year. It stands out on its own but still distinctly has traits of Brandon's style that make it recognizable for sure. It's not an all-time favorite of mine I'll admit but that doesn't mean it's bad in the slightest as it's still a great song for sure. Amazing job with this as always.
