I will never forgive Charizard losing Seismic Toss. That was almost always his big finisher. I don't what the writers BW staff were thinking when it came to taking such an iconic move away.

Personally I’d say Dragonite’s signature move is Dragon Dance, not only is it a reliable setup move, but also Ash helped him learn the move while it was still a Dragonair

Yeah but dragon claw was the only move that actually took advantage of dragon dance. Sure ash used it as a sort of counter shield, but it still wasn't portrayed much in powering up dragonite

As iconic as Squirtle's Hydro Pump is, I still think Skull Bash is the go-to finisher for most of its battles like back in Kanto making it the little turtle's TRUE signature move.

@@Lonewulf321 I mean he learnt the unique style later on so yeah (also Skull Bash was the exclusive signature move in Gen 1 for the Blastoise line in general so not unique to Ash Ketchum. Plus, Infernape only learnt Flare Blitz during the Sinnoh league but still that is the move he's known for)

Yeah. Just like Alain’s Charizard’s finishing move is Blast burn which had a sick animation when used

I would of gone with overheat for torkoal,because it was one of the first powerful fire moves used by Ashs pokemon and giga impact for Gliscor for the training and significance it had for its development.

@@Nightwing_. exactly alot of people want to give it alot of unnecessary shit .Ok so it cried alot and didn't have grand wins but it did have significant ones like Norman's slakoth ,as well as Tysons Shiftry and it indeed had one of the strongest fire moves at the time it was caught then when it returned it had an even deadlier fire move. SORRY that was long I'm just a supporter of Torkoal think my boy needs a break from all the mudslinging.

@@lethemkno3079 he is good but with corphish, swellow and pikachu grabbing a shit ton of wins while glalie came in late and grovyle got too many losses and some huge wins, they needed to put in a punching bag. Unfairly treated like heracross, tauros, gliscor, krookodile and torterra.

Can't forget about Lycanroc and the move that gave Ash the win at the Alola League: Counter. Actually, Counter, double the power, cause Gladion used it first.

If think bit more, Gladion's Lycanroc took hit of 4 times more powerful hit of his own Counter💀. Basically, Gladion lost Alola League for his mistake of forgetting Ash's Lycanroc can use Counter and no brainer , That Lycanroc Showdown went Serious.

I would argue that Dragon Dance is actually Dragonite's signature move. In its debut episode, Dragonair couldn't use the move and Ash helped train it and now is a staple in Dragonite's strategy

Imagine if water shuriken was a Tm like mystical fire, then I wouldn't care about greninja being removed from swsh cause literally every water type could learn it then and water shuriken is one of my favourite moves despite being relatively weak

For Gliscor, I would say fire fang because it was a clutch move to defeat Paul's drapion and the steel type gym leader.

I think some honorable mentions for Incineroar should be Fire Blast and Revenge.

1. They must have replaced Seismic Toss with Dragon Tail. 2. Torkoal’s signature move HAS to be Iron Defense, since Overheat got replaced by Heat Wave. 3. To differentiate Corphish from Kingler, his signature move should be BubbleBeam. 4. Snorlax as several options. Other than Body Slam, it could also be Hyper Beam or Ice Punch.

Although Greninja's signature move Water Shuriken is pretty obvious, Cut is a move that Practically carried the match against Sawyer. Not to mention, it learned it pretty early on and also as a Greninja had a pretty cool way of doing it. But that's just my opinion tho :)

For Dragonite, I'd change it to Draco Meteor because of Dragonite Meteor and also if your gunna use Noctowl's old moveset then use Charizards old moveset so it can have Seismic Toss

Personally, I would like to argue in favor of Dig being Krookodile's true signature move. It's the only holdover from it's Sandile days, and compliments the line from a design standpoint as a sand crocodile burring through the ground and sand.

I would say Pikachu's signature move is Volt Tackle but BW writers made him forget it for.... reasons. I'm still mad about that. Like Pikachu using Volt Tackle against Regice and Latios was so epic.

Sceptile: Leaf blade, Meowth: Fury Swipes, Wobbuffett: Mirror Coat, Charizard: Seismic Toss and Blast Burn, Samurott: Razor Shell, Lucario: Aura Sphere. Gourgeist: Trick or Treat. etc.

Tbh wouldnt Volt Tackle be like an honorable mention for Pikachus Signature Move since it was like his go to finisher and move until BW made Pikachu forget the move... i miss volt tackle man

I don't think you were on the money with Dragonite. Dragon Dance was what it trained with Ash to learn before it was even caught, and proceeded to use in every major battle it was in after that.

I still don't understand why Attract was such a used move in Best Wishes. It's not like it was a new move, it's existed since genders have. It was just really popular in Unova for some reason, with it feeling like every other Pokemon distinguished as female had the move.

This is going to be amazing! The only thing I miss is Ash’s pikachu’s electro ball move before electroweb but it was a good choice! ^w^ Edit: now I DID love Volt tackle it’s iconic but it doesn’t seem to fit pilachu’s battle style to me personally but I respect all opinion’s on Pikachu! ^^

Given that it was the first move it learned and used upon evolving I'd say Quillavas signature move is now eruption ( hell the pokedex literally called it the volcano pokemon)
