    It's amazing how fluid someone looks whose completely devoted themselves to a particular area of fighting. His partner is very talented as well (obviously), but you can see a stark difference in their skill level and it comes thru the subtle nuances in his movements. It's remarkable to watch a master of a particular craft in action.

    Loma and Pacquaio have great footwork also because they never get tired. Shuffling takes so much energy.

    Joe I love your channel and content but I am 100% sure you just renamed the D'amato Shift. You're right side set-up for it is a Fitzsimmons shift into the D'amato shift. The difference is you're not actually shifting stances in the left side one, but it should be an option depending on how your partner reacts like at 4:05 of this video.

    True it's d'amato shift i've never seen anybody using it in kickboxing do you know why?

    You change the stance in a D'amato shift . He and his student didn't change it all the time .He did more kind of a Tyson or hop step mixed with a pendelum step to the side .So just call it shuffle step ;-)

    @@coco.combat You and I are describing the exact same movement. Tyson's hop step is the D'amato shift. He's just demonstrating a limited application of the same movement without hitting from a switched stance but the option is will always be there.
