@@corey-bird3489 I'm fairly sure "weird shit" has been a qualified colloquialism as applicable to cinematic experiences for a decade or more. I'm almost sorry that what you were taught doesn't align with this cultural paradigm.

Sure but I'm not too fan of the whole "Cassel as lead" concept... After charismatic and "cronenbergian" actors to lead a cast like Weller, Irons, Fiennes, Law or Mortensen for instance, I wonder why he did not think (but maybe he did ??) to cast again (he was in "A Dangerous Method") Michael Fassbender, the perfect "cronenbergian" actor in my opinion...

The movie is debuting at Cannes. It does have a release date in September in France but at this point in time there is no release date for the United States and the United Kingdom because they don’t have a distributor for either country for this movie.

Cronenberg is one of my favorite directors, so every film he directs is interesting (to say the least !!! ;) but I don't get why he has put so much trust in Cassel to now make him the lead actor/character of his new film. I mean, Cassel is not bad (and he was allright in "Eastern Promises"), but come on, is he as "cronenbergian" and fascinating as, let's say : Irons ? Weller ? Goldblum ? Fiennes ? Law ? Mortensen ? I really don't think so...
