You and Cedar are doing a fine job in teaching your children life skills. They are much loved and cared for. They will find their way with your guidance. I'm glad y'all brought it up. NOT EVERY WOMAN WANTS JEWELRY! The power tools in my home belong to me. I am the one who builds things and does the home modifications and repairs. My husband was a Minister and rancher/farmer. I was thrilled to get a new power tool and he learned that early in the marriage. And as far as money issues, I handled money better. We agreed to not spend unless talking to each other and looking at our budget. We BOTH did childcare, cooking, cleaning and laundry.

Here’s my odd idea for finding a big pool table. The largest houses often have a pool table left behind when the owners move on, and the new buyer may not want a billiards room. Maybe if you let listing real estate agents know you will remove the pool table at no cost to the owner (or offer a modest amount for the table), they might give it to you. Real estate websites have photos to help you identify the agents for empty houses with stranded unwanted pool tables. Heck of a long shot, but might be worth a try.

Peoples perspectives on others values in life always amazes me. What’s important to one isn’t as important to others, you may value flowers and jewelry but so many don’t. I’ve known women who would value a husband who didn’t spend all their free time at the bar and brought home a consistent paycheck. Time is truly the most valuable item one person can give another and it’s apparent you two spend a good deal of family time together. I respect both your values and how you share them with us. God bless and keep you all in the New Year!

32 years and counting for me and my lovely wife and she is a lot like Cedar. She will take plants over flowers any day and has to be the hardest person in the family to buy for !! She constantly tells us that her family is all she needs. Drives us mad during the holidays because she doesn't tell us what she wants. A fine example is I bought her diamond earrings last year. She was thankful as always. But you could tell it stressed her out a little. She was afraid of losing them. So this year she mentioned she wanted a "Pallet focal wall". So I built her one and she has been gloating about that wall to all her friends for weeks now !!!!😜 Simply saying some ladies are different and what makes one happy may not make someone else feel the same. Happy New Years to your family !! God Bless

The thing that endears me to you both is that you spend your money on FAMILY, this video is proof of that as it is mainly about a truck for your son and a ping pong table for the kids. What's more is you are teaching them that it has to be earned by helping out doing chores, raising the GPA etc.. You may be mum and dad but every thing you both do is for your kids and that is all anyone needs to know about. Just the opening shot of your home and shop you have to be exceedingly proud of what you've created. We all watch, in part, because we wish we would have the knowledge, risk taking attitude, expertise and drive that you have. It is remarkable what you do by yourself with very little help. The way you present your videos is "simple" but unique and effective in "telling the story." Your voice over on the videos is perfectly soothing. If I were younger (now 70) you would have inspired me to take the leap and do something along the lines of what you are doing. However, I don't think I would accomplish nearly what you have done and........ your not done!! You never seem to take a break. Then right in the middle of establishing a homestead you decide to build a small cabin!!!! Holy cow, talk about making more work for yourself on top of what most of us would consider an overwhelming task of building a homestead and huge shop. I get wanting the cabin but I think you could have put it off until the homestead was complete. You are amazing! Thanks for bringing us along. (still hope you drop the sponsored video format)

I can’t believe that people have negative comments to say about your lifestyle. I think u guys are awesome. Diamond rings and bracelets are just show off items. But a hard working man and a Proverbs 30 women says something so deep about your love for each other and your family it is something that will go on forever and create memories and a legacy. Your family I’m sure would rather the memories and the fun than a diamond ring being left to them. Well done . You are truly blessed.

A helpful hint for storage in your shop: tall, metal, office file cabinets. There's not a day in the week I can't find used ones for $10-$25. They seem to be an item people "just want to get rid of" at any price. I have a row of 5 in my shop. The drawers are rated for quite a bit of weight, take up very little room, and perfect for keeping items sorted, and won't warp/crack/split like the plastic totes we have all become accustomed to using these days.

Well it all looks great, just try and put things back where you got them from. I know its difficult and probably when you are tired after a hard day, but it's kind if when you go to bed at night and make sure you clear away stuff , clean the kitchen , it's so so nice to get up in a morning and come downstairs to a nice clean and tidy place it feels great. The same will happen when you walk into your nice clean tidy shop. You will jump for joy.

[And, for what it's worth, I am betting that before the year 2021 is over, you will have installed a door beside the garage door. I'm thinking about all that heat that's being lost every time you open the garage door to access the workshop!]

Heath and Cedar, you do you. You don’t have to justify why you chose the life you live and the choices you make. I would love it if my husband did more things around the house. Him also being a plumber... he has an accumulation of plumbing things he will never use. By cleaning them out... that would make me happier than I can tell you. No flowers or jewelry for me either!!! Just clean out the stuff! Lol. You both have a wonderful give and take. I love how you reward your children by giving them a challenge. So keep on being the authentic you and we will keep enjoying watching you do it on Red Poppy Ranch! Have a Happy New Year! 🎊 ❤️The Carson Family

Your house looks amazing during all the seasons. Love the glow it has with the snow and the Christmas lights you hung for Cedar outside. I think people are really confused when they think that material things are what matters. Joy and love comes from hard work, honesty and openness with your wife and family, providing the things that keep your family fed, safe, and warm. (and a ton of other things too) Not a bunch of jewelry or things that people think women need to be happy. I've witnessed people that have "everything" in life and they are completely miserable because they lack quality relationships with friends, family, and their partner. Thank you for showing a great example to those who watch your videos. Happy New Year from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Based on the last few videos, you mostly work on all the projects near the garage door. From an efficiency standpoint, I would move to the tool box closer to the door so you are more likely to put tools back during/after a project. The struggle to keep tools organized is real.

Your program emphasizes family values ,working as a team, living a simple life....your wife sets such a fine example of what a mother and wife should be....she isn’t a shallow person but is a well grounded individual....you also continually express a desire to take good care of your family as a good husband and father...setting proper values for your children...keep up the good work...

This kind of life takes work, from the mom, dad, kids, to the goats and chickens. Everyone and everything working together. Easy isn't always a word that comes to mind, but the rewards are there. More of us need to try and fail, learn from it and believe next time we could succeed big or small. Can't wait to see what next year brings to your family and to the world.☺

We use "Stay flow" liquid starch in our off road tires when they leak. Works like a charm, won't hurt aluminum rims, cleans up easy. I would say 1 cup in those smaller three wheeler tires. Berryman's tire sealer also works good. The other like Slime brand can eat into the aluminum causing pits. Stay warm up there.

After playing catch up, I don't know what made me tear up more, the pain flowing out of Reeds eyes, because his heart was wounded or the high pitched sound of Cedars voice when she saw her gift, exclaiming, "It's perfect!" And it was! I think today's show dealing with diamonds, pearls and a comment pertaining to them, comes from folks who are invested in the Red Poppy Ranch. I believe her diamonds and pearls are getting the house finished and that this is on the same level as your desire to get the garage finished. Like most hardworking homemakers, pride their home is connected to their pride as a wife and mother. There's an old saying, "If the house isn't fixed, she isn't fixed. It's hard for men to wrap their head around the fact that a broken gate is a broken wife, but it sure was to me. I loved watching the kids sledding. It brought back good memories and they loved it!...You are a great dad and husband! Happy New Year guys.
