Some important facts on elephants are:
1. Elephants are the largest land mammals on earth and have distinctly massive bodies, large ears, and long trunks.
2. Elephants have more than 150,000 muscles and tendons in their trunks, which they use for various purposes such as picking up objects, trumpeting, greeting, drinking, or bathing.
Elephants are herbivores and can consume from 300 to 600 pounds of food every single day. They mostly eat leaves, bark, fruits of trees and shrubs.
3. Elephants have a brain that weighs 11 pounds, which is larger than any other animal in the world. They are also very intelligent and have a complex social structure led by a matriarch.

8.There are three different species of elephant - the African savanna elephant, the African forest elephant and the Asian elephant. They have different physical characteristics and habitats. For example, African elephants have larger ears and tusks than Asian elephants, and Asian elephants have more hair on their bodies.
9.Elephants are endangered animals due to poaching for their ivory, habitat loss, human-elephant conflict, and climate change. They need extensive land areas and water sources to survive and meet their ecological needs
