I work overseas on an offhsore drilling rig and every year we have to renew or HUET helicopter crash training In water and the supposed stats is that of every 2 out of 13 people who die in water crashes from flying planes and helicopters are due to inflating their life jackets before the craft is fully submerged in water which makes them float to the top of the helicopter or plane and be trapped due to inflating their life vests. In our training we are sunk in helicopters and are made to wait until we are fully submerged underwater before we can unbuckle and bust out the windows to swim to safety. It’s crazy to see how common of a mistake that inflating prematurely actually is. Glad it is becoming more talked about and understood 💙🙏🏼

If the captain literally tells you the plane is going down they have no fuel left and you see an engine out... Why on earth would you do absolutely nothing to physically assault them and change the inevitable situation. You know you are going to crash and die and that STILL isn't enough to get these people up fighting for their lives. 3 ppl vs the entire plane and they do absolutely nothing to fight for their lives.... so many of these disasters could be avoided if people just actually did something for once in these situations....
