My wife is sailing in the Shetlands and visited the Scalloway Museum. She told me about the interesting story of the Shetland Bus. Thanks for the documentary, very interesting.

An excellent summary of the Shetland Bus history, bringing together a very relevant selection of footage, images, recordings and commentators. Thanks are due to the producer for bringing this all together in such a well produced piece for posterity.

I had no idea about this wonderful story. I'd love to popularise the phrase "hopping in the Shetland Bus" to spread awareness of the meaning!

Superb story telling and a quality production. It sent shivers up my spine and, at the end, brought a tear to my eye. Thanks Rebs, as you know, we discovered the story when we visited the monument in Scalloway. This was a great way to find out more and to hear first and second hand about the exploits of these brave freedom fighters.

Hi Rebecca - it's Donald here (from the talk at MMU on Wednesday). Loved the film. As soon as I saw the name David Howarth I remembered the name. I think he married my mum's cousin, which, I think, makes Stephan Howarth my 2nd cousin.

Don't forget the information was essential for the war effort, information like the nazi heavy water facility for nuclear weapon development.

What's the name of the song in the closing credits? Google and Bing usually do a good job of finding songs if given a couple of lines from the lyrics but I haven't got a single hit.
