Hard to believe that after almost 50 years the original Jaws is still by far the best ( suspense, scare factor, story quality etc)...all these other shark movies still dont get less is often better! We dont need to see the shark all the time.

Right there. This is my jaws 3. I only ever watch it with my son after Jaws and Jaws2. Lively does a great job holding the show. The people that hate The Shallows are probably the people who are stroking their cocks in front of a Star Wars film in their mummy’s basement wondering why they have never had a girlfriend 🤣

The best cgi for a shark created in any film in my opinion. Good film this was, and the shark was top notch!

Fishes are friends, not food. Well human are no fishes. The shark in this movie was excellent, it deserves an Oscar ! Like a combination of Anthony Hopkins and Jack Nicholson with fins. Superb ! The human actress not so much.

The most unbelievable,. preposterous, and unsatisfying ending for a movie I've ever seen. We're suppose to believe that the spiked wreckage "just happens to be there" and just moves out of the way at the very last second without once having looked back to see where the shark was? They should've stopped at the flare gun sequence, at least that was semi-plausible. Go online and download the Parody script of this movie which shows just how awful the movie was. And then we still have to sit through the boring coda at the end. Amazed this did as well as it did .

Well, I feel sorry for you. Because this is objectively the best shark movie since _Jaws._ It's suspenseful, doesn't overstay its welcome, and Blake Lively carries the movie very well. _The Meg_ was a decent big-budget B-movie, but it was more mid compared to this.
