RIP David McCallum (19th September 1933 - 25th September 2023). It doesn't seem long since I was paying tribute here to Robert Vaughn. Napoleon and Illya - both now gone to their UNCLE in the sky. Channel D is closed forever😥

That's true! Robert Vaughn could have been resentful because HE was supposed to be the focus. Then, Illya/David became so popular, as happened with Nimoy/Spock in "Star Trek". In both series, the original leads were gracious enough to use the on-screen chemistry to give us great stories and sooo much inspiration for "slash" fans! That it isn't limited to ONLY that group says ao much about these actors. But, MUNCLE is a particularly great example of superb partnership. I adore them to this day.
