Brilliant! I was working in London and staying at a B&B (lyncroft Gardens) in Ealing the night that the original interview went out live; my work mate shouted me from our room to the telly room with, "come and look at these herberts" and I took to them immediately! Next morning I bought the newspaper "The Filth and the Fury" which I kept until very recently!

Enough real drama happened than what will be shown in Disney's Pistol. Too bad. It could have been a great movie produced by Urban Myths that didn't need a big name producer to sell it. Jus sayin.

@@derin111 I agree, Friend... (In 'Sid and Nancy' Lydon was played by Andrew Schofield (a bloody good actor) and he TOTALLY DIDN'T GET IT!!! He played Johnny Rotten as a CHARICATURE. @@lonlevinholler74 I have to agree with this shout. In this the trio seem far more like their real life characters (I even thought it was a younger McLaren playing himself for a second on his entrance). In Pistol, whilst it is good and these three central performances are excellent they seem more like characters in a play.
The guy playing Malcom is great!
The guy playing Lydon is excellent. Great take of Lydon's Mannerisms. Brilliant documentary. Really Good
The guy playing John should play him in a movie. What an accurate portrayal! Not sure about the depiction of Jones as a mindlessly violent thug though.

It is true that Queen cancelled because of toothache - he'd managed to ghet an emergency appointment that clashed with the interview. I think it's safe to say the portrayal here is not how it happened though.

This is the real deal as far as dramatizing The Sex Pistols. The actors even look and sound like them. All Urban Myths needed to do was produce four more chapters (Getting together - Anarchy Tour/bans - Record Companies/God Save The Queen/Record Bans/God Save The Queen Reaches Number One during Jubilee denied number one listing on the charts/Album Cover Court case - Last UK show/U.S Tour. Enough real drama happened than what will be shown in Disney's Pistol. Too bad. It could have been a great movie produced by Urban Myths that didn't need a big name producer to sell it. Jus sayin.

5:31 It was a night out, they were going to remember, for a very long time...
They failed to put across that stuffy mainstream media types wouldn't have been fully aware at the time what a "punk group" was. This drama gave the impression at the beginning when Queen postponed that this "punk group" represented something they, even Grundy was familiar with when quite clearly in 1976 the Pistols would have been their first experience of this latest youth phenomenon.
