Video Transcript:
“The seven levels of intimacy is a model designed to provide insight into the ways we relate with different people. If your relationship with your friendly barista is confined to the first three levels of intimacy, that’s fine. But if your marriage is confined to the first three levels, you’ve got a problem.
The seven levels of intimacy are:
1. Cliches
2. Facts
3. Opinions
4. Hopes and Dreams
5. Feelings
6. Fears, Faults, and Failures, and
7. Legitimate Needs
Intimacy is the one thing a person cannot live happily without. We can live happily without new cars, designer clothes, dream homes, exotic vacations-but we cannot live happily without intimacy. You can survive without intimacy, but you cannot thrive without it.
So, let’s take a look at what intimacy really is…”

I just got a glimpse of your book for the first time. I’m literally fascinated. I’m planning on reading it multiple times myself and discussing it together with my girlfriend. I can’t wait for the full video series.

@@MatthewKellyAuthor how soon? :-) We love this book, as it fits right into our core value of "vulnerable intimacy" and now we're training staff on it. Thank you!

From the book "food for soul " by Peter kreeft page 10 God is the saint-maker. But we have to ask him, we have to want that. He gives that gift to whoever asks for it. It's of that gift that he says, "Seek and He you will find... [for] the one who seeks, finds" (Matt. 7:7-8). says, "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness / for they will be satisfied" (Matt. 5:6). Why does it happen only through love? Because as St. Augustine says, love is our gravity, love is what moves us, what motivates us to move: our love of the end that we move toward. For instance, if we see an ugly dog and a beautiful dog, we move away from the ugly dog, and we move toward the beautiful dog to pet it. Augustine defines evil as disordered love, and good as rightly ordered love: loving God with the love of adoration, our neighbors with charity, and the things of the world with moderation, to use them but not give our whole hearts to them. We are to use things and love persons, not use persons and love things. We are to adore God and use creatures, not adore creatures and try to use God. That's rightly ordered love.
