I wrote "Love's Dance" in the past few days because I wanted to express how easy it is to get infatuated and carried out by love's dance. My most recent experience has led me to conclude that, definitely, I cannot force anyone to feel interested in me, therefore I am to withdraw all my intentions to reach that heart.
"... is it merely chance's play, a fleeting breeze that sweeps our way? "
I also believe that when a relationship is not meant to happen, it doesn't flow. If we force it, things turn out badly. And love is completely the opposite:
"... yearning for affection's tender touch..."
The Art of Loving, by Erich Fromm is the most important influence of this piece of poetry. That's why I dedicate it to those who look for a balanced, healthy relationship. It will demand persistence and refinement of every subtle skill we can learn to give the best of ourselves.
