Hi thanks for the video. My coach told me to forget about Bandeja's and just hit Vibora's. I watched a video of Sanyo saying he does the same thing. I've watched several videos on vibora's and I've found it a bit confusing when coaches say to "come around the ball," and showing the racquet almost perpendicular to the ground (like if you pause this video at 2:51). Trying to "wrap" my racquet around the ball like this never works. Instead, the analogy I've found useful is to mimic the motion of skipping a stone, which is top to bottom, giving it slice. The side spin is still generated by the extension of your elbow and arm outward, so you are getting both side and back spin. Curious to hear your thoughts.

It is usually a quite complex shot. For me the "side spin" is not the most important concept. I would always put the focus on understanding that we are aiming for an aggressive shot when the lob is not very deep. Technically, as long as your preparation is correct and you follow through at the end to get the ball behind the line I would not worry too much on the side spin!
