An easier and quicker way to get Mama her drugs is during the Diamond City Blues quest. Also, when Mama dies, the Minute Men settlers will follow her dead body around if you pick it up and carry it around. For shits and giggles, build one of those huge cannons in Wasteland Workshop and launch her body in random directions and watch them chase after her body like a dog playing fetch.

​@@Ammdar Yeah, I'm trying to do the same, Jet dealer easy caps method, since Water Purifier method did not work for me, but Jet sells wayy too fking cheap. The buying price is 50 if I recall corrrectly, but most vendors will take it from you for a ridiculous price of 18. Connie buys it the most expensive after her quest, she buys it for 28. I also heard that a junkie from Vault 81 actually gives you the highest price, 75 (but unfortunately he can buy one at a time, you need to spend 24 in-game hours). Sadly I'm still looking for the damn fusion cores, it ain't easy and Overseer just thought I would give them away to strangers if I found one?! what was she thinking lol

I did this immediately on my first play through. Preston was not stoked, but at least I was able to replace her with a settler that actually did something.

I played this back in 2016 or 17 like that, and I was dumb as heck, what ever she asked, I straight away just give it to her, in my mind I thought it was medicine, she died like this in front of me and I was confuse as heck as why she died 😂

As a recovered addict myself I overdosed her immediately felt bad went to a quick save and never gave her her last hit I just leave her on a chair

I did this on my very first playthrough of fallout 4. I didn't know she would die from it because it's just a game, and i was a kid. Mama Murphy is the reason i will never touch drugs.

​@@AmmdarI once moved codsworth out of there and then went in and got rid of Preston and the rest of them but didn't bother her and yes I unalived Preston using a mod on Xbox one and on another I went after the BoS and railroad before doing the quest to get into the institute as I could just go right there as once again I was using a few different mods one for being able to go into the institute early and unaliving essential NPCs

I literally played Fallout 4 for the first time two weeks ago, and I figured out Mama Murphy's deal after two conversations. Gib old woman drugs, recieve main line quest hints. Overdo it and she dies. It's not complicated. Also any companions around sanctuary who have opinions about enabling an addict will get all judgy.

I just let her predict 5 times and she died, so the sanctuary blames Garvey and I

And if Preston is somewhere else besides Sanctuary, he will show up briefly to see her and then return to wherever he came from.

This is also how you find the deactivation code for the courser in Greentech labs. The last prediction is that code.
