In this tutorial, I will be teaching you guys how to create the TODD Helder lead from his track Ride It. We use spire to program a lead that will allow us to use the same note while changing the 2nd oscillators melody to create a harmonic drop.
P.S After making this video, I chatted with Todd about this. This isn't the way he makes his lead but like explained in the video. There is more than 1 way to the outcome, and I hope you can get some fresh ideas out of this video.

Hey, Ninjas quick update. I previewed this on my Instagram and Todd responded to it. We had a chat about how I made this lead, and he send me a picture of how he created his. It's similar in theory but a bit different utilizing another modulation source. Like explained in the video there is usually more than 1 way to achieve a sound. This is one easier way to achieve it.

To disable key tracking in Serum: Global tab -> Oscillator Settings -> Uncheck "OSC A" or "OSC B" at Pitch Tracking

This is the way todd did it, at the end of the drop he just modulate it so the rate goes faster, much easier then doing it in midi

Map MIDI Via Abletons MIDI MAPPING and then assign the MIDI mapping to your synth. It's a bit tricky and I would honestly rather use a MIDI Controller for this and just assign the knobs to the synth of choice
