THE SECRET TO GROWING BIG QUADS | 18 WEEKS OUT MR. OLYMPIA 2023
Ойын-сауық
We are 18 weeks out from the Mr. Olympia 2023 today and I'm taking you guys through a quad focused leg day! Showing you how to actually grow your legs. Why you have small legs is simpler than you think and in this video you're going to see how I train with intensity while also not overloading the weight. Just because you stack the entire machine and can do it doesn't mean you're strong and going to grow. Drop the ego!

Nick is really smart about his training principles. Pausing training for days at some point, giving the body a break when needed. Priotizing controlled reps and full ROM over weight / ego lifting. Great stuff here.
Please consider bringing back the quick tips that you used to post…love those
Let’s go mutant , bringing the pain..🦍
The training philosophy is now very similar to what Kai Green and Phil heath have said in the past. Concentrate on the contraction, you're not a power lifter, spot on 👍

I always agree with Nick. When you have experience and results you can talk and give advice. As it happens, all the so-called "fitness influencers", teenagers without muscles, instead compete on social networks to see who can lift the most weight. And so they surely satisfy their little ego, but also condition the audience not to know how to train.
@Schaufelor

True. Unfortunately mind muscle connection is nothing you can just teach people. You have to feel it and chase it for years. And see the results. "Lift heavy as fuuuuck" is easier to explain and you will convince alot more people to believe it.

I really like the way you train. I have been training with jonni Shreve and he has me train the same way. I am not a bodybuilder I am just an average man in his late 40s trying to be healthy and live longer but this style of training I love and it's been working for me. I have went from 360 to 232 in almost 3 years and still pushing hard and trying to be better. You should do a Collab with Jonni Shreve because you guy's train so much alike. All right, Nicolas, you have knowledge, I admire it, but remember, I'm writing this to everyone, everyone is different, everything works differently for everyone, this one will work like a horse with unimaginably heavy weights and only then will his legs grow, while the other will only do it to pump legs or something else and it's enough to be big, that's why I repeat, everyone is different, cheers

My small legs are proportional to my whole small body😂
But still, i find it quite hard to contract on leg press without locking out. Anybody any suggestions?
@friku404
Жыл бұрын
Try different foot placements. Try a little more open than shoulder width and with toes facing a little outwards, letting the knees coming to you deep and keeping the butt on the rest. Try with the feet closer to the bottom of the platform and not going too deep. But the main thing I would try to do is doing every rep slow, negative even slower. Forget the weight, only you know about weights, your body does not. Tension is the key. Weights come afterwards. I would never lock an leg exercise. Every time I see people doing this in the gym I feel instant pain myself xD.

@@cruzjr7229 of course you won't blow up like this guy if you just use PEDs and do nothing. This guy pays top dollar for the best stuff and best doctors to watch him so ye... Genetics is a factor with limits but he is blasting like crazy. Literally the entire reason you’re not getting bigger legs, or any bigger muscle for that matter is one of only 3 reasons: 1. You’re not doing enough work to stimulate muscle growth. 2. You’re not getting stronger weekly on each lift you do for legs. 3. You’re not recovering because you’re not eating enough to gain at least 0.5 to 1 kilo a week in bodymass weekly & you’re not sleeping properly.
The "secret" to build big quads is the put some weight resistance and extend your leg. Hamnstrings is to do a flexion of your leg. But dont tell anyone its a "secret"...
Hiss
I’m worried about those veins in your legs man. They look varicose which can be a killer.
