THE SECRET TO GROWING BIG QUADS | 18 WEEKS OUT MR. OLYMPIA 2023

Ойын-сауық

We are 18 weeks out from the Mr. Olympia 2023 today and I'm taking you guys through a quad focused leg day! Showing you how to actually grow your legs. Why you have small legs is simpler than you think and in this video you're going to see how I train with intensity while also not overloading the weight. Just because you stack the entire machine and can do it doesn't mean you're strong and going to grow. Drop the ego!

    Nick is really smart about his training principles. Pausing training for days at some point, giving the body a break when needed. Priotizing controlled reps and full ROM over weight / ego lifting. Great stuff here.

    I always agree with Nick. When you have experience and results you can talk and give advice. As it happens, all the so-called "fitness influencers", teenagers without muscles, instead compete on social networks to see who can lift the most weight. And so they surely satisfy their little ego, but also condition the audience not to know how to train.

  • @Schaufelor

    @Schaufelor

    True. Unfortunately mind muscle connection is nothing you can just teach people. You have to feel it and chase it for years. And see the results. "Lift heavy as fuuuuck" is easier to explain and you will convince alot more people to believe it.

Try with the feet closer to the bottom of the platform and not going too deep. But the main thing I would try to do is doing every rep slow, negative even slower. Forget the weight, only you know about weights, your body does not. Tension is the key. Weights come afterwards. I would never lock an leg exercise. Every time I see people doing this in the gym I feel instant pain myself xD.

    Literally the entire reason you’re not getting bigger legs, or any bigger muscle for that matter is one of only 3 reasons: 1. You’re not doing enough work to stimulate muscle growth. 2. You’re not getting stronger weekly on each lift you do for legs. 3. You’re not recovering because you’re not eating enough to gain at least 0.5 to 1 kilo a week in bodymass weekly & you’re not sleeping properly.

    The fact that i have to write a comment instead of enjoying the video because of your videographer BLASTING the music like a late night cheap infomercial and then when Nick talks he lowers the sound to where we cant even hear Nick talk??? 🥴
