"I don't want you to worry continuously about which mountain to climb, I just want you to start climbing" - LOVE IT! Every new college graduate who didn't study to become a doctor or lawyer should have this engraved on their certificate. I've attended a truckload of career workshops, spent hours trying to decide what I "should be doing with the rest of my life", instead someone should have just said to me, stop overthinking it and just start doing something. Matthew is genius.

Me too! It's sad to think that I 'lost' years with something that I don't know if I wanna do for the rest of my life. I feel like I can do a lot of little things but I'm not really good in nothing, maybe because I didn't find what I like to do yet.

Who cares what your passion is? You go to work to do something useful for your fellow people. Nobody is passionate about cleaning public toilets or harvesting potatoes, yet you probably appreciate having food and clean toilets, so why don't you start repaying your fellow people by doing something useful in return.

It's easy to let ourselves get so confused and depressed about not knowing what our passion is especially after graduating! We always tend to put so much pressure on us about this subject! This is such a good advice! I wish I'd have heard it 10 years ago when I was a graduate, it'd have speared me of a lot of suffering! I was so, so lucky though to find a mentor that pushed me to become good at something and that gave me so much confidence to go and pursue what I thought I was really meant to do afterwards! So you don't have to know it, relax into not knowing, things will come, relax into uncertainty, get comfortable with it cause Life is very uncertain! Great succes to everyone!:-)

Amazing advice! I just started a career in hospitality working for an Fortune 100 company and hearing this made me realize this is a start. It interest me, I shouldn't be to worried that I should start cementing my feet in. I should use it as an experience to keep learning what I love and what I want to continue doing for the rest of my life. Wow, thanks a ton Matthew.

How the hell does it come so easy to you, Matthew? You simplify things into such pratical terms. Its inspiring! Not just your ability to do JUST THAT but the way in how you can provide such inspiration because you've got the talent to do so. I LOVE your videos. I've got post-it notes all over my desk filled with all kinds of one liners that you have said. Just a little phrase you say makes sense in such a larger impact (in regards to relationships and life in general). Keep doing what you do, Matt! I've been watching your new videos and your old(er) ones (obviously). They're all just so freaking great!

He hit the nail on the head. The expression 'find your passion' has always irritated me. It puts an impossible pressure on people because they think there's one grand and divine thing they're made to do when in reality there isn't. I wish I had seen this video when that very thing bothered me so much. A quote I think about a lot that I think is relevant here is "you don't find yourself you create yourself".

So Matthew I'm hearing you say for each person to start writing down in a journal about our interests and what make you the most happy in life! Living like you want to live and making your dreams come true which I do on my white board and as it happens I erase it and add something new that I need to accomplish to make my dream job happened! I'm not there yet but I'm trying to make it happen! Thank you !

I was honestly a bit afraid before watching this video, because at the very moment I'm a bit afraid of the challenges of my study which I see myself confronted with. At the same time, I am able to tell myself too, it's worth it to risk if I am afraid of it! It let's me grow, it makes me stronger and more experienced and gives me as a person higher value because I'm going through this! I made my way exactly as Matt has described it! It started as little curiosity and grew big to the project of my life, I do not to become rich in money, but because it makes me live from it and lets me fulfill dreams, goals and passion! I love what I do because I can be myself doing it and others value me for doing so! And to give an happy end: I absolutely found myself in the description Matt gave to the young girl! I still walking my way in a possible similar one Matt is doing! Thank's for the advice Matt! You're doing a great job and inspired me a lot! That's just awesome! :) You're a true idol!

Something I would like to say about this too, it's that whatever happens into our lives is good to test us and recognize what we'll enjoy through time, just stop, remember everything that makes you feel how you want to feel, be honest to yourself, then work on it hard and there you go. That's it) Thank you, MH :)♥
