many thanks to you Max, great content, so clear, so concise, just what we want to know and not more. THANK YOU
This is such a helpful video Max and a really great search tool. Thank you for this!
for some reason i can feel that you are a very genuine and sincere person wanting to help people. thank you very much :)
Another excellent video as always Max! 🎉
Thanks Max. I just started this points game and find you are easy to understand. Needless to say I'll be watching your videos a few dozen times before my first redemption. I know you'd be easy on me. LOL
Thank you Max, you are the man! Awesome content!!!
After watching your last video I was able to book 2 roundtrip economy tix from IAD to LIS for 68k points total plus $420ish fees on Air France. While we do have to position for the the flights I was very pleased to not have to empty my bank of points for economy tix. Will likely sign up for seatspy now (with your referral of course). Thanks for the content!

Hey I have found tickets to lis or bcn from NYC and IAD for 450$ without using points. However, as I have a suggestion for you, I would have probably bought the tickets through the credit card porta(so I can get the points)l, and cover some part of the ticket with points. Example: if the ticket is $500 roundtrip, I will use 20k points to cover it and the ticket will only cost 300$. This is for the economy tickets most of the time.
I usually don’t ever comment but I have to tell you I appreciate so much the type of content you’re putting out!

I noticed while searching that AF website says there’s availability on say 01Aug, but the actual availability is the day before or after, as it showed in your video, the availability was on 31Jul. Great content, thank you!

Thanks! Yup the calendar is a bit messed up that way. Also the the example in my video was a search for two seats. The July 31st award availability you saw was only for one seat so that’s why it’s not on my Seatspy search and that’s why it’s not the correct award space.
Thank you! Can you make a video showing the process to transfer the points?
Thank you for the excellent content. Do you offer an 1:1 consultation. How does the search award availability course works?
Would love to see a video on Flying Blue for partners aka, Aerolinas Argentinas, GOL etc.
Thanks for the video...very informative. But where do you find the promotional fares to start with? (ie where did you find there was a 42,000 mile fare)
This is an awesome tool and breakdown Max. Where did you find the Flying Blue Promo for May? Not seeing it on their website yet for some reason.

Can you do a similar video for Canada? Seems we are paying WAY MORE!!! Would like some of these tips to make our points go further.
Hey max! Been watching you videos a lot recently. I’m trying to book award travel from non major hubs. DTW to MNL. Any tips??
Thanks for the good advice. Do you think it’s work for Brazil? I’am talking about seatspy. Thanks
I just got a last minute (2 weeks before) prem economy sfo to ams direct one way for 40k miles with 125$? The same date was 35k for regular economy so i figured its a no brainer.
I flew a few times a year to Europe before pandemic. Stopped since. It was easy and simple, just buy tickets a couple weeks before departure. Now seem to be complicated and I couldn't find a schedule for flights. Should I reserve tickets ahead of time or buy a week before leaving? Is it a good idea to buy economy and upgrade later to business at airport??? I plan a visit in June. Thank you. 👍+Subscribed
Re: Aug 1 unavailability -- the ticket was shown available on July 31! Just one day off, so it's pretty accurate! Just gotta look around :)

The July 31st date had one seat available, I was searching for two seats on Seat Spy. 😉I know because I checked because I thought it was just off by one day but it’s not, I just edited it out of the video because it was irrelevant

But picking out a particular seat is not possible, especially if you want aisle or window or first row.
I booked a premium economy seat with airfrance for 30k each way. This would of been way easier for me if I knew about it! I have to ask do they let you pay for an upgrade to business or since you used points you locked out of that? Thanks for the information, your videos have been helpful!

Per Flying Blue’s website “Reward tickets are only eligible for upgrades after check-in opens.” But of course it’s also subject to availability www.flyingblue.us/en/earn-spend/flights/upgrades

Don't book it just to book it! Actually weigh in whether you will take the flight before booking to avoid wasting points!

Best way to search Award Saver availability across all SkyTeam airlines? I'm having a hell of a time finding these for DL operated flights from ATL to FCO and BCN to ATL.

@@MaxMilesPoints Thanks! Not surprisingly, nothing available. Any idea how to set up alerts? Expert Flyer and SeatSpy don't seem to be DL friendly.
It is easy to find a cheap ticket. But never guarantee a boarding. Once KLM deny the boarding we don't know when you get a refund. Some time times you get it some times not. The risk of denied boarding is high in these airlines.
Could you please address the issue of finding equally affordable return flights? This is where I find the dynamic pricing of Flying Blue most problematic. It's relatively easy to find a promo fare departure, but then the return flights tend to be expensive unless you are interested in going for either a very short or a very long trip. Have others found this as well? So far I have not been able to use my Flying Blue points for this reason--that it is so difficult to book a roundtrip of approximately one week's duration using points.

Did Not realize that Air France's only destination on seat spy is Paris... And KIM's only destination on seat spy is Amsterdam. That is a very important detail when considering spending 99 dollars .
@MaxMilesPoints

Seatspy searches only nonstop routes for their listed airlines which is mentioned in the video and. There are free searches , free 14 day trial , and there are monthly plans. So no need to spend $99 to figure that out
Can we transfer delta points to air france

No 😕 but you can book Air France flights with delta points
If my wife has points from her Amex and Chase... can she transfer points to my Flying Blue acct if i am short some points for me to purchase two tix for us?? Or does she need to sign up for her own FB account?

No she cannot unless she’s an authorized user on your Amex or chase account. You’ll need to transfer to two separate FB account and combine them via the family pooling option

@@MaxMilesPoints how do I add that extra stop?
I just signed up for Seat Spy but right away I am not able to search Air France: Atlanta (ATL) to Rome (FCO). Am I doing something wrong?
@MaxMilesPoints

SeatSpy is best for nonstop flights operated by the select list of airlines. Air France or KLM doesn’t fly non-stop from ATL to FCO
@MaxMilesPoints
Жыл бұрын
Alternatively you can search ATL to CDG find that availability then search CDG to FCO separately to find that award availability
Site is very limited FYI...

There was a part in the video where I said short list of airlines and select routes 😉. Tool is useful for nonstop etihad, British airways, United and airfrance klm
There is no JAL or ANA :((
@MaxMilesPoints
Жыл бұрын
The tool is limited on airline and routes. If ANA shares the same routes as United like SFO to NRT you can use United on SeatSpy to search for United and star alliance award availability. But it’s very limited in routes.
Flying Blue’s award search is downright user friendly compared to Virgin Atlantic or British Airways. SeatSpy definitely pays for itself if you use it to search those loyalty programs! Edit: SeatSpy is p useless outside of KLM/AirFrance. Virgin Atlantic can be used to book Delta One flights but those won’t show up with SeatSpy. ORD isn’t available to select with SeatSpy!!
@MaxMilesPoints
Жыл бұрын
I find Seatspy useful for etihad flights, United, and British airways. Seatspy is most powerful with United because it searches United award availability and any star alliance partners operating the same route
