i love the fact that Dragunov is going back to his prime condition. they did him dirty on tekken 7 when they nerfed him. but now the way i see it, they buffed him again and gave hims some good perks. JCDR is grinding through ranked maches with dragunov and he hardly loses. some people like Sephiblack alo picked him. i loved the way you played. happy playing Athena.

Honestly, Drag being this good feels like a fever dream 😂 cause season 1 was soooo long ago in T7 when he was dominate. I am happy with these changes but still understand the game is fairly new. Also been watching JDCR and Sephi since I play most of the characters they have been playing for years.

Oh yeah the eventual nerfs and balance changes are for sure gonna hit him, but I’m hoping the same will be fore Ling, Azu, and maybe DVJ but we’ll see 😮

Yeah Drag is one of the few big characters in this game. I noticed it too. He's able to get hit by certain combos because his character model is so tall

Plus he’s always so hunched over with his stance. But if his posture is aligned he’s definitely tall.

44 ends in full crouch, the next move is full crouch DF14 which goes into sneak stance (QCF basically) then just press 2 for the qcf2 into the B! Or whatever it's called in this game.

Along with what was said, there’s also a just frame blue spark input that does more damage on the FC df1,4 string that you’ll follow with another sneak step to get the tailspin. Hope that helps

@@Athena4Lyfe yeah I was a Miguel for Tekken 6 and 7. I wanna pick up another character but I don't know who yet. And facts people act like dragunovs moves are so crazy. His start up on damn near anything that can get a combo started is pretty atrocious And his high low mix ups are DOOK

Thank you. There was quite a few instances of counterplay that my opponent and I adapted to which is important to how I learned the last round.

It's so good because essentially it gives you a nice little wall flip-over if you don't use your tailspin beforehand. Lots more stuff to lab and test but overall I'm having a blast!

@@kenjoslice7gaming I head they really put the hammer down on Asuka and lots of players and specialist have been saying the same thing. I get it tho, I'm playing Drag because my regular mains are all gone. But thankfully I did play him a lot for like a year and a half so I'm familiar with him. His plus frames are great and there's like a little tiny bit of an execution barrier but he shouldn't be too hard to pick up tbh.

So in this game a lot of moves that we're used to have changed notation. The pick is actually cd3+4 but yes that is the most optimal and max damage instead of the d2 pickup.

Drag is good but the new hatchet kick low is i20 yes but launch on block, d2 is 0 on hit (though it forces crouch), and the new full crouch low gets stuffed by jabs easily. Though I gotta lab some more situations with that last low. Either way he’ll carry you a bit until you start running into people that know how to deal. It becomes a different ballgame after that 😅
