I was in a long distance relationship for 2 years. We lived on different continents, and only saw each other 4 times during those 2 years. Since there were no other way to hang out, we talked on the phone or via Skype every single day. And through that we got to know each other REALLY well, because all we could do was talk. We have now been happily married for 20 years.

Thats not the ideal. There are couples who talk everyday and are now broken up or divorced. Talking everyday on the phone? what's the quality of these conversations? There are many toxic couples who talk on the phone daily yet their conversations have no substance or depth to them, so they are like strangers. Some people have to work on themselves in order to become the best version of themselves for their partner, now what's true live. You don’t need to talk every day in a long-distance relationship. Sometimes life makes it hard to respond to text or take time to talk on the phone. It’s not unreasonable to need a few days to focus on work or yourself. However, there is a difference between talking every day and staying connected to your significant other.

As I date many woman here and there after graduation ....I never did. I had been in very lovey dovey scenario where you're just so infatuated with someone, excited to see them the next day and all that. But when honeymoon phase end, in spite of my best effort. As a woman, I can tell you the problem isn’t women-it’s that you’re thinking of women the wrong way. Women make up half the population of the world and you’ve denounced all as uninteresting? We’re not all the same! We’re human and incredibly diverse just like men. If you opened your mind and saw that, and treated women as individuals/ friends to relate to and respect as you do men (rather than categorically as x y or z), you would attract more interesting women and not be making comments like this
