Same here. We had an amazing sewing teacher at Intermediate, and she didn't tell us. And at High School we had a very knowledgeable sewing teacher (who wouldn't let us unpick with a quick unpick in case we cut the material, so we had to use sewing pins), so she didn't know. And I have been sewing for years since then, and am now 66, and never knew until today. Amazing.

@@robinsnest7627 we had two seperate rooms. The sewing room was much smaller of course. I can remember all 4 things we made that year. 1. Velvetta Mac and cheese 2. French Toast 3. Grilled cheese sandwiches 4. Spaghetti sauce. All right before “women’s liberation” ruined it for women (and gave them TWO FULL TIME jobs!!)and made it seem like an inferior “job” to be a mother and take care of the home. I know because I became a physician and had a very hard time doing it all. My husband a physician too with long late hours. So I can now say that a woman’s place should be in the home and take care of kids. We would not have the problems we do with kids today. Who is raising our kids today??
