A few decades ago, a student told me that she asked a Rav why she had been abused as little girl, and he told her that she must be a gilgul of someone who had committed a serious aveira. I told her that she shouldn’t look at it like that. I told her that every neshama comes to the world to prove its love for Hashem, and your neshama volunteered for the difficult job of revealing its love for Hashem despite having had a painful childhood.

I very much enjoyed jt, thanks! Most don’t realize that emotional abuse is just as bad as other types of abuse but there is no proof either and the abuser will twist the situation, pretending that it’s you, who has emotional issues. I was there and BH fight it and today I don’t have problem to face my abusers (emotional ones) with pride and positivity, so that they just melt away from shame of their dysfunctional and shameful behavior. Abusers lose their power when they realize that they have lost control

Ðear Rabbi, thankyou so much every word you said is completely true anti-life suffering from having internalized all you spoke about. Years of therapy with a Rabbi who ran groups and private reparenting and intense courage to dig those entrapments of darkness with a crane and more and more sometimes When arriving home after a heavy session a went to bed. Afterwards not immediately it was completely gone cleared to be able to have a life. Many years later I see theres some more to do in that direction.

Hey Pam, down in the right hand corner of the video window there is a settings * symbol to the left of it CC closed caption and to the left full screen options. click on that and scroll up and you will see speed settings. you can listen to it in increments slower or faster. There's also options for auto translate in the settings * into various languages although that technology has its limitations, sometimes it helps, depending on the content; if closed captions is enabled in a particular video. If you have the time, listen to Rabbi YY multiple times, it is worth it, every time a new layer develops and a whole different dimension of the concepts.

    - on my Android phone it is in the upper right corner to the right of the CC (Closed Captioning) symbol - I frequently play at a higher speed.

Do non-Jewish (B’nei Noach) souls also get to choose to go down to earth and choose difficult and painful lives on earth (for the same reasons)? Or is this something that only Jewish souls do?
