Three Years ago this product sold out at auction for just $125 a box. Those boxes are now $500+ and the cheapest you could get this year's version was $350..if you were lucky. Today we're checking out 2023-24 Panini Photogenic NBA. These were sold at dutch auction and the website became a total mess when these boxes approached $400 and under.
The secret is out...Photogenic is great! Let's rip a box and talk about what makes this set set so different from the rest.

Fanatics makes it a little more bearable to try and rip some packs. Products worth what people will pay. As the economy goes wild and wages go to $20 to drop fries in oil the prices of everything is bound to go insane

That gold parallel looks nice. This set looks like topps stadium club. Great pictures but not sure why the price is so high on it. $100+ for a base card? Yikes!

Two of my favorite cards in my Giannis PC are his Championship Feels and Unforgettable inserts from the first year. Giannis blocking Ayton in Game 4 of the 2021 Finals is the iconic moment of his career.

I pulled a Tom Brady Superbowl Champion Signatures Autograph Card #'d/15 from Spectra and the image is of him holding the Lombardi Trophy during the Superbowl LI celebration after coming back to beat the Falcons in what is probably the GREATEST Superbowl comeback victory of all time! And from what info I could find supposedly it's the only set that features images of the actual Lombardi Trophy. So do you think it's a good one? 🤔

It would be a good secret if the pricing wasn't so terrible. The pricing & the exclusive licenses are the reasons I went from working in the industry & being super involved to being a casual observer & ocasional singles buyer.

Prices are ridiculously crazy. More crazy are folks who support the companies that are so fricken greedy. They will lower prices once the hobby market crashes.

The auto and Curry weren't bad but those are some of the worst looking base cards I've ever seen.

Nothing that you can make real money of comes even close to the prize of the box. Its grotesk. I've started collecting cards in europe in the mid 90ies... boxes with real cool cards costs...i dont know...a case with 24 packs coasts about a 100 Dollars...100-300 dollars for 10 packs? Is there a beauty involved jumpin out of a birthday cake? Believe me...NOTHING...CAN EXPLAIN THAT PRIZE EXPLOSION. Even dying is cheeper.
