Protected herself? From what? You do not go to jail for going sexual with someone older, only the older person goes to jail. If I was in her shoes, I would go for it (she is completely out of his league, but lets imagine she isn't), since its he whos going to jail, not me. depends how old she is, he is 20 so is not an issue if he dates 17 year olds. there is a law in place because highschool age varies alot so as long as the age difference is between 3-4 nothing can happen legally.

@Sherb Eve Tbh, it wasn't "very clear." I guessed her age to be around 20 yrs. Between the ages of 16-25, age can sometimes be ambiguous from looks alone. That's why we do ID checks. Otherwise, if it was "so obvious," it would never be necessary to check anyone's ID at 18+ or 21+ venues.

Protected herself? From what? You do not go to jail for going sexual with someone older, only the older person goes to jail. If I was in her shoes, I would go for it (she is completely out of his league, but lets imagine she isn't), since its he whos going to jail, not me. I would enjoy life, regardless of how much suffering it brings to others, especially if its not me who made the laws, so it technically wouldn't be my fault.

I wouldn't rat anyone out to the police on purpose, but I wouldn't feel guilty for just, well, living and loving, and the government being tyrannical over those things. I totally won't break the law, no matter how tyrannical it is, if I am the one being punished, but if I am, for example, a school boy that hooked up with a female teacher, and she got jailed, well, too bad, I don't lack empathy and I would sorry for her, but it wouldn't be my fault, blame society.

depends how old she is, he is 20 so is not an issue if he dates 17 year olds. there is a law in place because highschool age varies alot so as long as the age difference is between 3-4 nothing can happen legally.

@wdadw dwdwadw No. It depends on your country's laws. Judging by his accent, he's not in America. Some countries are 18+. Where I live, it's 16. So, legally, a 40-yr-old can have sex with a 16-yr-old. Morality and ethics are different issues, though.

@Sherb Eve Tbh, it wasn't "very clear." I guessed her age to be around 20 yrs. Between the ages of 16-25, age can sometimes be ambiguous from looks alone. That's why we do ID checks. Otherwise, if it was "so obvious," it would never be necessary to check anyone's ID at 18+ or 21+ venues.
