I know this man made his mistakes. No one is prefect. But through all the years of me being an ole miss fan, this man right here is my favorite coach and I will always compare new coaches to him. I hope one day he makes his way back.

@Nolan Shaw lol, troll. But I’ll acknowledge you anyways. He had a winning season every year he was there. Put ole miss on the map as a contender. Beat bama two years in a row, which IS considered successful considering they were what every team stride to be like. Won, I believe, 4 or the 5 or 6 bowl games they went to. Did we win the sec title or the NC title no, but we were still a damn good team when he was there. Now lane is there and maybe we’ll stand up to your standards of “what a great team is”. Then again trolls are hard to please. Have a blessed day homie.

As a UGA fan I must admit coach Freeze commands much respect,and I'm happy for Ol Miss as I lived in Gulf Port from 1979 to 1983. You got your self a WINNER! Good luck against every body but the DAWGS.

Coach Freeze has recruited probably the best class to ever come into Ole Miss. He has landed one of the top 5 recruiting classes in the country. I'm from Alabama and a big Bama fan but I love coach Freeze and his mentality and I have always been a fan of the Rebels. Freeze is one of the best coaches in the country and he will prove it in these next few years. Roll tide and Go Rebels!!!!

He is a Coach and he ministers to each player, good moral principles, and is a motivator, period!

Go Liberty Flames. I'm a MSU fan, but also a Hugh Freeze fan now that he's no longer at Ole Miss.

Best coach ever, Hugh Freeze. The only coach ever to take an Ole Miss team and run Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin, and Kirby Smart off from Oxford, MS, the next year run them off from Tuscaloosa, AL, and humbled Dan Mullen to the point that you don't hear any more acronyms like "TSUN" come out of any mouths to this day . Talk your smack all you want but you can't deny any of this because it was on TV and you can see it right here on KZread by searching Ole Miss vs Alabama 2014 and 2015.

@Nolan Shaw Alabama caused us to lose Hugh Freeze because he was spanking down on Tide ass every year! You sent the NCAA because it was going to continue.

He acually is both..he is an ordained minister,too.Hugh was going on mission trips when he was in college,while the rest of us were still acting like fools. He is a wonderful coach..and an even better friend.

Of course you would assume I'm a State fan. It's pathetic that an institution of higher learning glorifies a sect that deemed slavery acceptable - to the point where their own name reflects it.

Most people don't know this, but their nickname "Ole Miss" has ties to slavery. It is what slaves used to call the wife of their plantation owner. You can read it for yourself on page 168 of the book "The University of Mississippi: A Sesquicentennial History" and page 144 of "Ever is a long time: a journey into Mississippi's dark past, a memoir". Personally, I think it's pathetic that an institution of higher learning would still use such a name, and I do believe that it should be obsolete.
