Grubb didn't come from Alabama (doubt he even set foot in Tuscaloosa). Grubb came from UW! Deboer's gonna be hurting without him. Macdonald and Grubb were the two names at the top of my wishlist! Stoked for '24.

I like grubb. Im worried that if he succeeds he will get a head coaching offer somewhere in a couple years

i'm interested to see something new this season but have zero expectations. too much has changed and nothing has been shown or proven yet. hoping for the best but my gut tells me it's going to be 2 or 3 years before we see this coaching staff and team flush out and settle into what they seem to be building on paper.

Air raid works, until you go against elite pro style defenses. Saw it in the NCAA championship, saw it from Mike Leach, saw it from Kliff Kingsbury... I'm worried

I'd worry about that too, but we have 2 starter quality running backs. Gotta think more balanced and use play action plenty.

@ChristopherMHeaps technically if you want to go there, no it's not air raid. It's a hybrid west coast offense that takes a lot of inspiration from the McVay system, using pre snap motion and hard play action to get a numerical advantage over the defense. But when you look at the numbers it was basically an air raid offense, that was predicated on high percentage down field passes. And it was even more so, after both of their backs got hurt. In both 22 and 23, the huskies had an average run percentage of 25% which was only above WSU and USC in the PAC (and they are true air raid offenses)

This offense will go as far as the offensive line can support them. That's the weak link

If indeed he is perfect... he will be gone within 3 years to a HC position.
