I stood on the inner-German border in the summer of 1989 and thought that it would stand longer than my life would last. And on November 9th it fell. On November 10th I had my first beer in an eastern German village and everybody was just high on this perceived miracle. In January 1990 my guitarist Leander Reininghaus and I went on our first tour in Eastern Germany and we experienced so much love for music, optimism and the will to create something new, better and free out of the ruins of the GDR. A magical time that lasted well into the first years of re-unified Germany. Now with Putin's assault on Ukraine it feels like the ghosts from the past have risen again. Thus this song raises an avalanche of mixed feelings from sweet nostalgia to downright fear for the future. I never liked "Winds Of Change". I found it pretentious and preposterous. Your version has touched me deeper than the original ever could. So, saying that You did the song justice would be missing the point. You did justice to all the feelings connected with it and that's a big deal. Thank You for that!

Has Rebecca played the special 'Wanted Woman' guitar yet? A good friend of mine, Billy, built an electric guitar in 2022 for Rebecca, Larkin Poe. It is not an ordinary guitar, but with Art, so painted, with a pointing drawing, an image of Rebecca and the text 'Wanted Woman', so a lot of work… . Billy gave the guitar to Rebecca at the Dutch BosPop Weert festival on July 10, 2022. A Larkin Poe tour manager took a photo of Rebecca and Billy together with the 'Wanted Woman' guitar at the handover ceremony. This photo was supposed to be sent to Billy, but nothing has been received yet. Billy would of course love to know if Rebecca played the guitar, what she thinks about it and where the guitar is now. This was the song that made me NEED to play the guitar. It will never die.

It never ceases to amaze me how good these ladies are at covering great songs. Just two instruments, two voices and a home recorder, and this is the result. Truly astounding talent!

Nice version expecially when you sing in harmony. This is a song of hope when we where young and thought the world would become a better place for all and soon. We went wrong and things got worse so it's important to sing this particular song in this particular moment.

We all have been deceived by this "hope" in 90s, and now there's reality that have been hiding behind this pretty song with so much sugar in it. But playing this song now means not to hate russians as many people do now. And it's greatly appretiated - thanx, ladies!

AWESOME rendition. Nice bridge! I was in Germany back then. Some hostility from the east. When the Soviets left there was a major culture merge. It was not easy and it didn't happen overnight but the results speak for themselves in today's Europe.❤️❤️❤️❤️
