I am not sure if they look or take suggestions ,on you tube, but a competition to see who could forge a MAC V SOG combat knife would be awesome, there are multiple versions, but I think that'd be a very informative episode as well, there are very few in the world as well making the one on the show also one of a kind.

brad did an amazing job, i think it should have been him, yes it rolled a lil but repairable, the other just needed a lil more sharp for the sharpness test, it was so neck n neck though but brads blade did much better

It's not about which blade cuts more it is which blade cuts more cleanly and both of them done perfectly. And when cut with a blade edge geometry of blade & the angle you are cutting is matters a lot .

@@arison9395 I agree, but wanted to add the failure to completely slice the bag could be user error. No one is perfect on every swing. That second bag looked like a weird angle to me and that could have affected how well he cut with it. I'm just armchairing over here, but possible.

Basically, this is based on Schiavonesca (AKA the Serbian sword) but instead of S shaped crossguard and square pommel, it has basket around the handguard. Beautiful weapon never the less

nah. It turned out to be sharper but it had a harder time piercing the ballistic dummy than Jeff's on the sharpness test. Also the rolled edge.

The winners blade outperformed on the kill test with better thrusts and deeper cuts. Took no damage on the second test compared to very visible damage on the other blade. The blade that won did perform a very clean cut and if you watch closely, the judge didn't do a correct slice on the second swing. While the handle of winner did cause more damage to the hand, the other sword still damaged the thumb/knuckle of the user. It was very close but I agree with their decision, the one with the deformation lost as it was a sign of a poorer heat treatment compared to the slightly heavier blade. If the testing had of been more extreme, like the ice chop, you would've seen the difference between the blades heat treatments more clearly I suspect.

Honestly thought the other guy was going to win. Blade was considerably sharper and his handle didnt dig in to the knuckle as bad. He also complained about the other guys blade being heavy.

Was it sharper? You can see that "second" blade on the second slice is still his. Even though it passed cleanly on the first two slices, it didn't cut through all the way on the third. Even worse, they're showing us a third sword, probably a test blade.

Usw. usw.
