The Scariest Propagation and Repotting Ever: Monstera Esqueleto

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

A couple of months ago, my husband bought this Monstera Esqueleto for me while we were on a trip together. The dream behind this beautiful plant was to grow it and enjoy large artful leaves and instead it gave me a huge runner with small leaves, and small as in 3 cm leaves.
After research and visiting couple of nurseries, I realized that not every one has runners and that it actually can grow huge. The other night I saw a short where a guy actually cut his Esqueleto and it grew beautiful grow points. So I took the Risk!

Hi, how are the runners looking? I think it would be awesome to see the progression of the growth as small esqueletos are difficult to identify. Some people on reddit mention the petiole sheath length should be no more than 2/3 of the length from the start of the petiole to the attachment of the leaf. Others say one half. But the "esqueleto" cultivar is registered with a ratio of 4/5, which only seems to apply to the bigger plants has the one you have here. Seeing several propagations growing side by side could help people understand whether they are buying a "real" esqueleto, not a variant of lechleriana or adansonii 😊

This is what they are called , technically made from coconut fiber. And when people are searching for I say in the video, they will go for moss pole and amazon will show them this product. I have actual moss poles that I made myself and for that I used moss. Thank you for bringing it up, I will explain it in my next video when I will be using a “moss pole “ 🌱
