I grew up in the village next to these caves. The school you can hear in the background is my old school. Some friends of my family were also involved in the renovation project. Back in the 80s/90s you could sneak into the caves at night (before they had the metal gates etc) and explore with your mates. It was a lot spookier back then as they were still “raw” and hadn’t had any of the tourist stuff put in and no lights. We heard all sorts of strange things, but then again your mind can play tricks with you down there. We spent all night down there one time, in the banquet hall. None of the dummies or gates were there back then and you could go into all the little alcoves. During WW2 the caves were also used by some locals as air raid shelters and many of the initials / inscriptions on the walls are from that time. There was apparently once a shaft / tunnel from the inner temple which went up to the church above but it was sealed off for safety reasons. I dont know it thats true but its a local rumour. We always tried to find it as kids but never did. The stalactites / mites were always there but were removed and replaced with fibreglass for public safety I think. At least i always remember there being stalactites. Also, just a note, you missed the Golden Ball on top of the church tower which is where the Hellfire club reportedly had their actual important meetings, and they had their parties in the caves. They used the ball because nobody could eavesdrop on the conversations being perched upon the top of the tower. I went in it as a child and it had seating around the edge for about 6-8 people and a little table in the middle. There is a small hole window on each side which gives incredibly views. They closed it to the public in the late 90s. Some very cool history around that place, and it has a strange sort of energy that it’s impossible to explain. Im not a superstitious type either but the place is just odd. The town (West Wycombe) also has some of the best examples of Tudor houses in the area. The local pub in the high street, The George and Dragon is originally from the 14th century and was where The Hellfire Club went also and was my father’s local pub right up until he died. He had his own tankard on the wall behind the bar. My family still go there very often. Was lovely watching this as i no longer live in the area.

The whole of the UK has underground caves , must be connected. In Nottingham 20miles from me are the caves all under the city and Castle. At various places including bus and bars , the caves underneath the very old places are let to Satanists , witches etc. I know someone who worked at one , said they aren't allowed to disclose more information. Nottingham itself has the oldest Inn in the UK built into the castle walls.

Poor Suki. Fell in love with the the out of towner...She worked in the pub in the small village below...the local lads knew she was obsessed with him, so wrote a note from him as a prank, saying he wanted her to run away with him and get married (hence wearing white) Actually she went to meet him on the hill, by the church. She arrived and the hiding boys started laughing. Upset, she threw rocks at them...one boy threw a rock back. It hit her on the head and she fell and hit her head on a rock and died. Her ghost is said to wait at midnight by the gate to the church waiting for her new love

@@crystallina2920 Yeah it does. My Grandfather was a historian and all about the place. Then I fell in love with the place and used to go to the hill and caves any chance I could for the last 35 years. Loads of reading about the place over the decades...The church was not origionally a real church..it was made, as Dashwood loves role play with ladies of the night, dressed as nuns. Also the golden ball on top of the church has small windows, a ladder and a door...it was a padded room, for either opium sessions or to punish people (playfully and not).

There are so many similarities in this cave to labyrinth, the faces on the walls. When Sarah falls down the helping hands make faces on the walls. The when y’all get to a path and you say which way… the doors with the 2 puppets can not tell you what path to take but one always tells the truth and one always lies. One leads to the castle and the other…. Certain death! Awesome tour

Very interesting video !! You know there was also a Hellfire Club in Dublin, Ireland, up in the Dublin Mountains, constructed as a hunting lodge by a William Connolly in 1725. The building is still there and visible from some parts of the suburbs of Dublin. It's reputed to be built on an ancient druidic site and disturbed the spirits of the ancient ancestors of the area. The members also engaged in black magic apparently and there are lots of scary stories ! It's worth checking out !

Magnificent, absolutely magnificent. When I was young I read anything I could get my hands on regarding the Hellfire Club. How exciting it is to actually see it. I’ve seen three videos on this place : two paranormal investigations and, now, yours. The paranormal videos were interesting, but yours is, by far and away, the best. I was interested in just finding a tour video - and you guys delivered. Thank You so much, it was great. My take on the Hellfire Club is pretty much the same as yours, except for one thing. From my reading of things, I suspect that they dabbled in the occult. They were known to have an interest in old, and hard to get, books and artefacts of an occult and mystical nature. I can’t help but think that they would have probably experimented to a certain degree. Much like modern kids do with Ouija boards today. I don’t think they would have taken it to seriously, after all they seemed to be far too interested in partying and joking around and enjoying themselves to “go deep”. But, I think they may of just played around with it. Kudos to you both, love your work but this one wins the prize. Much Love and Many Blessings ❤,❤.

The cult 60s TV Series 'The Avengers' starring Diana Rigg and Patrick Macnee made an episode called 'A Touch of Brimstone' about the Hellfire Club, in which Diana is dressed in a corset wearing a spiked collar getting whipped! It was made at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood where you have been recently. The Earl of Sandwich invented the sandwich which is eaten by everybody. Have you been to the English village called 'Norton Disney' ? Walts family came from England and France, and parts of it also moved to Canada. I was talking to a Disney family member a few months ago. It turns out that the English Disney family started up Theme Parks, which then gave Walt Disney the idea to have one in the US. Walt and his family came to Norton Disney many many years ago, and they stayed in the village for a few days meeting family members. Do you know what Walt loved the most while there? Going in an English pub in the village!! There is a video on You Tube about it. The Hellfire Club also featured in a Hammer Horror movie! 🖤💀🖤☠🖤💀🖤☠🖤💀🖤☠🖤

Thank you for the video. My Grandparents were married in that church, it's called St Lawrence's Church. The golden ball on the top sits 13 people and looks right down the straight Roman Road that leads to London. They would use it to keep watch out for the police! But it's actually in West Wycombe which is a village outside of High Wycombe.

Thank you, Michael and Jessica for this historical look into England's well known, Hellsfire Club. England has so much history. I have ancestors, who were born and lived in England. From what I could trace back as early as 1066. Who knows. Perhaps, they may have known members of the Hellsfire Club. i can only wonder. :)
