the issue is we would expect an horror game so it wouldnt be as scary, I prefer spooky moments like this, mainly when they lead to something interesting, its usually not mistery for mistery in pokemon, there is actually a small story or explanation behind each scary moment... The best is when they lead to the capture of a rare pokemon, but it isn't as scary then, the school girl thing is cool for example because you can your own theories about it

Drifloon the balloon pokemon many pokemon info about this but for some reason i found the same two info in four diffrent games and they kinda fit that scene dimaond/x/ruby -'a pokemon formed by the spirits of the people and pokemon it loves. pearl-it tugs on the hands of children to steal them away however it gets pulled around instead just some creepy info about that pokemon

Giratina rearing back like that gave me time to prepare for it), the moments before it I find interesting. Giratina only starts to rear back when Cyrus mentions he has the power of Dialga and Palkia. Almost like Giratina is warning Cyrus to leave the other two alone, or else.

Honestly, the two Sun and Moon locations you showed aren't nearly as scary as the Ultra Ruins from USUM. If you realize just where you are, the place goes from weird and unsettling to downright disturbing. It appears to be an alternate version of Hau'Oli city in which the Alola Region underwent some kind of apocalypse, likely related to the Power Plant as seen in posters. There are only a few remaining people, all of which must wear hazmat suits to survive, which seems to imply that in this alternate world, the Power Plant was actually nuclear rather than geothermal, and had a meltdown. This resulted in either the appearance of Guzzlord from another world, or they appeared as a form of mutation to some type of Pokémon due to nuclear radiation. Whatever the case, all that's left is a handful of Guzzlord surviving off of whatever remains of civilization, some surviving humans, possibly a few other species of Pokémon, and a world that seems to be in darkness from nuclear winter. At least, that's how I interpret all of the clues.

1:00 you can see her sitting in the chair during the fade away. Then you get put into her perspective as she floats towards you and phoebe. Then at 1:16 you can see her face beside the player.

I remember 10 year old me having the shit scared out of me when I found the ghost girl in X and Y.

On a serious note, if you’re seriously trying to look for the story line, the little girl is on the right part of Hammerlocke City (if I remember correctly, cuz I don’t have a switch with me at the moment), the upper floor, towards the far right end where there are one or two big white building. You’ll talk to her and she’ll ask you to deliver a letter. Then you’ll find out the story by yourself :) no spoilers.

The old chateau really scared me as a kid back then, especially when played at night. I didn’t even know that rotom exists in the tv! And the purple painting on the wall was also creepy af as it always follow where you’re going. Gengar exists in the said room if you owned fire red/leaf green and migrated pokémon from there. And the disappearing girl from B2W2 was really really sad. She must’ve fallen in the bridge while looking for cresselia or something because she wanted to return the lunar wing back. Also, i didn’t know that there’s a creepy side quest in sun and moon. Maybe i should check it out.

The one from Sun/Moon is not a sidequest, it's part of the main story (one of the island trials), although in the Ultra versions there is a postgame event in there where Accerola makes you repeat the ghost trial again, and when you clear it again you discover that the Accerola that asked this was an illusion

The girl didn't fall from the bridge, it was killed by Darkrai, pulled in it's world through nightmares, only Cresselia can make Darkrai go away, that's why she needed to wait for Cresselia, but it was too late for the girl.

carlos mendoza Oh I don’t remember this girl being a main quest, but USUM has the illusion Acerola during the trial. You make your way to the back of the store, and see her not facing you. She starts telling you to leave, and if you protest, she starts screaming at you to get out. Then you can fire up the Poké Finder and see that she’s an illusion

Also Real!Acerola's response to it (that room doesn't exist!), and her going "why is it cold all of a sudden?" then you can just barely spot a Mimikyu moving in the background. Sudden goosebumps, that one.

I remember as a kid I like weird, creepy things. But the Old Chateau was creepy to even me. I still get chills when I hear the music.

"Sorry boss, we need more time to finish the walk cycle for Hex Maniac." "Nah, this is fine."

I remember the girl disappearing on the bridge in White. Freaked me out as a kid but I wanted to figure out what happened. I never played Black or White 2 but my brother did but he didn't tell me what the girl said. By then, we had forgotten about her being on the bridge. Watching this gave me the answers that I was searching for all those years ago.

That Darkrai event creeped me the hell out as a kid. In Pearl, there’s no voice after the battle though.

The giratina one was the most “in your face” scare I ever experienced and ever since, he’s been my favorite

0:57 So I’ve never seen this happen with anyone else, but the ghost girl would always be there in the cutscenes for me, not just in a “blink and you will miss it” fashion. She wouldn’t be there in the actual game, just the cutscene. I haven’t played X&Y in a long while though, since it first came out, so I’m not even sure if it’s gonna be the same.

Honestly, even though I know it's coming that Giratina still always scares me! Also I feel like this is the point, but I'm always so focused on the old chateau music that when an encounter comes up I'm scared the heck out of.

Okay so like I just realized this, at 11:50 you see the pictures of the girl and her Pikachus on the wall. Here's my theory: ..A Girl had two Pikachus, one that was actually Mimikyu the whole time and one that was Pikachu. One day the regular Pikachu died, so the girl and Mimikyu had to bury it. However, soon after the girl also died, leaving the Mimikyu all alone. I'm going to guess that the megamart the trial takes place in was special to the Mimikyu somehow, and that the reason it was destroyed was because the death of the Girl angered the guardian pokemon (Tapu Bulu). So now the Mimikyu haunts the place, and doesn't want anyone to come near it. It took the form of Acerola to try and get you to leave.

The ghosts are nothing to the protagonists of Alola games A Hakamo-O charged towards them and they smiled like 🌝 knowing that they will easily stomp it to death if need be.

The old chateau was scary enough but then they made the tenth episode of pkmn generations about it and that was scary as hell

I remember playing through my X version nonstop the day before it officially came out in my country and then sleep deprived as I was saw that ghost girl and of course couldn't find anything about her yet online so I just thought I imagined her. Took me two days to figure out that I really did see her and then send all my friends to go see her too.

The white hand on your shoulder stuff actually scared me as it kept me thinking about it at night and kept me hallucinating

Nothing more kid friendly than ghosts, creepy/sad stories, a case of a girl being dead, other outer worldly things. Yep. So kid friendly these games are. 😀

You forgot about the Hypno you find when you take on the haunted classroom one in sun and moons seven mysteries. Also, the seventh mystery is the disappearance of the girl.

I miss all these scenes. It was my favourite part of pokemon. The old ones, especially the platinum version was the best. Am just hoping they'll provide the same eerie atmosphere in the new one for the switch
