The SAVIORS | Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka 2

Спорт

In this video I talk about how Alex Pereira & Jiri Prochazka have stepped in several times to save the UFC, when they were needed the most. I also breakdown and predict how their second fight will go, as they are the main event of UFC 303.

Poatan by Ko again, Jiri too open on defense for a guy with Alex’s power

I promised not to pick against Poatan again. This is more exciting that McGregor vs Chandler in my opinion

Best outcome is Jiri winning, setting up a massive trilogy

No. The best outcome is jiri laying flat on his back with his eyes stuck in the back of his head from head trauma and still being a total legend for even thinking he could beat Poatan.

He's gotta grapple in the first round, nothing pretty, just take Alex down, hold him there - make him expend energy trying to get back to the feet. That will have the double effect of Jiri saving his legs from getting decimated the way they were in the first few minutes of their first fight. But then secondly will drain Alex of energy which inevitably will take some of the sting off those leg kicks and from his hooks. When tired he still can rocked those with the best of chins, like the one that lead to the finish in round 5 of his first UFC fight with Izzy. So it's still dangerous, but FAR less so than it would be if still relatively fresh. If Alex had landed that same punch in the first round instead of round 5 - Izzy would still be sleeping to this very day lol. Then Jiri can come out and start striking Alex. Kinda like what happened in the firs time, but rather than eating devastating leg kick for the first few minutes before taking him down toward the end of the round to save his legs. Just skip that part, which means his legs will still be pretty fresh in round two, where as in their last fight when he started to actually have success on the feet in that second round - because his legs were so compromised he wasn't generating the sort of power that he normally would have, which means that the one flurry against the cage where landed some clean shots to Alex's, one of those coulda ended to the fight if he had more explosiveness. Plus the legs prevented him from being as mobile and illusive, IE - his ability to quickly getting within striking distance and then quickly jumping back outa range of Alex's counter-shot. However, that all being said - Alex's grappling is improving, (still no great, but still), along with the fact Poatan is ridiculously strong/athletic, maybe even more so than Jiri!, and Jiri's hand and shoulders above everybody else in the division in both those physical attributes. But the fact is, that when strikers engage in grappling for long periods of time, unlike what they're used to doing in the cage, they tend to gas out quicker than they expected to, (Jan against Alex for example), so if Jiri can get him down, than do it - but don't keep fighting for it wasting a ton of energy, after all the very reason ur supposed to be doing it in the first place was to drain Alex of energy. If Jiri is forced to stand with Alex early on, he has GOT to d a better job avoiding/checking those leg kicks while also being more defensively savvy. Cuz if not, he's gonna find himself in the exact same place he was last fight, being flash ko'd twice within a 10 second period, or even worse - flatlined.

Very interesting fight, i think Jiri will be winner by TKO in 3 round but Poatan will be better in 1 and 2 round

Jiri is going to need to go all gas until he lands that KO or gets KO'd. His style doesn't match well with Poatan.
